'The Good Witch's Charm': Catherine Bell juggles 'Army Wives' and Hallmark movies

Whether as a witch or an Army wife, Catherine Bell has been doing a lot of television business lately.

The "Jag" veteran essentially has been playing two series roles for several years, if one takes her recurring part as the seemingly magical Cassie in Hallmark Channel's "Good Witch" TV movies into consideration along with Denise Sherwood, the sometimes brutally realistic character she plays weekly when the Lifetime drama "Army Wives" is in season.

"The Good Witch's Charm" -- the fifth entry in the franchise -- makes its Hallmark debut Saturday, Oct. 27, immediately after a marathon of the four earlier films. Business owner, small-town mayor, stepmom and new biological mom Cassie never has been proven to be an actual sorceress, but that confirmation might be closer as a reporter's (Geordie Johnson) interview with her reveals a strange phenomenon and goes viral ... bringing an unwanted form of attention to Cassie and her locale.

'Mulroney: The Opera' In Select Theatres on April 16

Brian Mulroney, one of Canada's most hated politicians and former Prime Ministers, will be portrayed on the big screen in a dramatic and humoristic opera. The film Mulroney: The Opera will be released in select Canadian theatres on April 16.

The story begins in 2002 when Canada's Prime Minister Jean Chrétien (Colin Mochrie) unveils the official portrait of former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney (Rick Miller).

During that day, Mulroney is seen telling his story to a security guard. He brings us back in his young days. He also talks about his political career and the controversies that have plagued him ever since.

Other members of the cast include: Stephanie Anne Mills as Mila Mulroney; Michael Murphy as Col. McCormick; Geordie Johnson as John Turner; Ted Dykstra as Ed Broadbent; Janet Laine-Green as Nancy Reagan; Joe Matheson as Ronald Reagan; Sean Cullen as Robert Coates; Dan Lett as John Fraser; and Joanne Boland as Kim Campbell.

'Durham County' Season 2 On DVD In the USA On Nov. 23

American fans of the TV series Durham County no longer need to come to Canada to buy the second season on DVD. In fact, the second season of this Canadian TV series will be released on DVD on November 23. Moreover, the third season of Durham County will premiere on HBO Canada, a Canadian premium cable network, on October 25.

The show takes place in a fictitious suburb of Toronto called Durham County. After the events of the first season, Det. Mike Sweeney (Hugh Dillon) got promoted; Ray Prager (Romano Orzari) is in prison because of his murder attempt on Sadie (Laurence Leboeuf), Mike's daughter; and Sadie is still reeling from her traumatizing encounter with Ray. 'Durham County' Season 2 DVD Artwork

For those who visit, have in mind that the DVD artwork of Durham County's second season is already online. While no release date has been announced for the USA, the second season of this TV series from The Movie Network, a Canadian premium cable network, will come out on DVD in Canada on July 27, 2010.

In this TV series, Forbes plays Dr. Peneloppe Verity opposite Hugh Dillon, who plays Det. Mike Sweeney. Even though Sweeney is newly promoted, his wife (Helene Joy) wants a divorce and his daughter, Sadie (Laurence Leboeuf), is shaken after she had nearly gotten trapped by a serial killer in the first season.
