Christopher David Johnson is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, actor, composer and visual effects artist whose passion for film making began at the age of 8. In 1990, he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the industry just weeks after graduating from high school. Even prior to his move, Johnson was hired to design and create the special make-up effects for the cult favorite Drop Dead Fred (1991) and would go on to create special make-up effects for Michael Mann's iconic The Last of the Mohicans (1992) the following year.

While continuing to work as a visual effects artist, Johnson began pursuit of his first love, writing and directing, by founding the Misty Falls Motion Picture Company and producing his feature film directorial debut, Outside of Winters Bend (1995) (V). Johnson's follow up was a supernatural thriller entitled Shades of Darkness (2000), and then Summer of Tomorrows (2003) (V) which he re-edited for a special international release in 2010.

Johnson also serves as an Imagineer on the Dimensional Design team at the Walt Disney Company and is (2010)presently directing a documentary through his own Misty Falls Motion Picture Company about his great uncle who was a WWII rescue pilot and hero. Johnson is simultaneously developing a feature film on the same subject.
