Danny John-Jules was born on September 16, 1960 in London, England as Daniel John-Jules. He is an actor and producer, known for Red Dwarf (1988), Blade II (2002) and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998).

Toured America as a dancer with UK pop group Wham.
Sang backup vocals on the David Bowie song "Chily Down" off the Labyrinth soundtrack.
Appeared in "Little Shop of Horrors," singing with a group of other people at a bus stop.
His nephew (not son, as some have reported) Alexander John-Jules played Lister as a baby in Red Dwarf: Ouroboros (1997).
Member of the original cast of the London production of Starlight Express at the Apollo Victoria Theatre playing the role of Rocky I - a box car.
In the Family Guy episode "Road to Germany" there is a reference to the "Total Eclipse of the Sun" song in "Little Shop of Horrors", and an animated character based on Danny John-Jules's background performance can be seen briefly, alongside animated characters based on the other dancers.
In season 5, episode 6, of _"Death in Paradise" (2011), Danny's character, Officer Dwayne Myers, deals with a young scamp named Jackson. Jackson was played by Danny's son, Danté Langlais-John-Jules.
