Beyonce's concerts have always been grand, happy occasions. Perhaps its her buoyant hair or the vibrant dancing, but there's always an unadulterated air of joy about her performance.
In video from Friday's concert at the new Revel casino and resort (the first of four nights she's performing at the venue), Bey appears to be in fine form, shimmying her way through her impressive catalog of hits, from relatively new tracks like "Halo" to Destiny's Child classics like "Jumpin' Jumpin.'"

Kanye West & Jay-z Are Going To Do It Again

Jay-z and Kanye West will re-team for a sequel to Watch The Throne. According to Mike Dean, a veteran producer who worked on the first collaboration album, rap's royalty will go back into the studio together.
"I'm working on the G.O.O.D. Music album, of course," Dean told Quiet Lunch. "And Watch The Throne 2 -- it's not started yet, but it's coming."
Jay had already raised the possibility of a second Throne album, telling MTV in December that he and West were "in a great place creatively." In that interview, he said the second disc could drop in 2012.
As for the G.O.O.D. Music compilation Dean is working on first? Expect that record to be a vision statement for West and his labelmates (Big Sean, Pusha-t and a host of other artists are expected to appear).

Jay-z and Kanye West are set to team up again on a second album. "Watch the Throne 2," is in the works producer Mike Dean says in an interview with Quiet Lunch.
"I'm working on the G.O.O.D. Music album, of course," says Dean of another project he's working on with West, "and Watch The Throne 2 -- it's not started yet, but it's coming."
That's good news for fans, who made the original "Watch the Throne" a hit -- it debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard charts when it was released in August 2011 and was nominated for four Grammies, winning one for Best Rap Performance for the single "Otis."

Beyonce Knowles is nervous about going back to work since having a baby. The 'Halo' singer gave birth to her and husband Jay-z's first child, daughter Blue Ivy, in January, and while she is excited about her comeback performance at the Revel casino in New Jersey tonight (25.05.12), Beyonce is worried about returning to the stage. In a just released behind-the-scenes video of her preparations, she said: 'I feel a little nervous. I'm enjoying being a mother so it's like going back to my old job, and it's a little strange. London, May 25: New fathers Jay-z and Jack Osbourne will compete with stars including Rod Stewart and Gary Barlow to be named Dad of the Year.
The rap mogul's and wife Beyonce became proud parents of Blue Ivy in January 2012, while Osbourne is just a month into parenthood with baby Pearl.
Both the men have been short listed for the 'Premier Inn Celebrity Dad' of the Year prize, the Daily Star reported.

Though her husband Jay-z has performed a string of concerts and made some big announcements since the birth of Blue Ivy Carter, Beyonce has generally stayed out of the public eye.
That changes this weekend in New Jersey. The singer has booked four nights of shows at the brand new Revel casino and resort in Atlantic City, and she has released a "making of" video to herald her performances.
In the video, which is available at the top of the post, Beyonce admits she has some anxiety about returning to the stage. "I feel a little nervous. I'm enjoying being a mother so it's like going back to my old job, and it's a little strange," she says. "But it's important that you don't lose yourself and still have your own passions. And so I'm back to work, I'm back to business."

While a low-key Kanye West and a not-so-low-key Kim Kardashian partied it up on P.Diddy‘s boat in Cannes the day before yesterday, we were waiting for them to make a bad-ass appearance together sans other celebrities taking the attention away. We love us some Kimye! The couple made their grand entrance at Palm Beach in Cannes, where West was debuting his short film, Cruel Summer, yesterday to a group of approximately 200 people. Jay-z was in attendance too, as was Kid Cudi, who’s in the film. Beyonce, however, was not. Could that be because of the rumored feud with Kim, we wonder?

Kanye West posed with a Balmain-clad Kim Kardashian at the premiere of his Cruel Summer in Cannes this evening. Jay-z and Leonardo DiCaprio's pal Lukas Haas were also on hand for the event, which was Kanye's first at the Cannes Film Festival. Kanye said of the production, "It's actually kind of surreal seeing the film come to fruition right here. I can dream one day that this will be the way that one day people will watch movies. I want to change what entertainment experiences are like." Kim and Kanye spent the day together in the South of France and stuck by each other's side for tonight's bash as well. Chris Brown and Beyonce Knowles are among the dominating names on the nomination list of the 2012 Bet Awards announced on Tuesday, May 22. Breezy will face off the likes of Bruno Mars, Usher, Trey Songz and Miguel in the Best Male R&B Artist. He's also nominated for Video Director of the Year and Coca-Cola Viewer's Choice Award.

Kanye West is in the running in seven categories for the 2012 Bet Awards. The nominations were announced Tuesday (May 22) in New York, along with the news that Samuel L. Jackson will be hosting the yearly fest.
West was closely followed by Beyonce, with six nominations, and his "Watch the Throne" collaborator (and Beyonce's husband) Jay-z, who snagged five nominations.
The awards will be held July 1 at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium with performances from Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj, among others.

Bet Awards 2012 Nominees Announced
Bet unveiled the nominees for the 2012 Bet Awards this afternoon and if you're a Beyonce or Kanye West fan, you ought to be plenty happy, as the two combined for 13 nominations. Beyonce received nominations for three different videos from her latest album 4, snatching up a shared nomination for Video Director of the Year along the way, while Kanye was honored for his work as a part of The Throne. Also generating plenty of recognition were Chris Brown (three nominations and a performance), Drake (four nominations), and Rick Ross (three nominations), among others.
Joining Brown as a confirmed performer is Nicki Minaj, having earned a nomination of her own, while the Cadillac Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to soul icons Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. Last year, Chris Brown was the top award winner, taking home five trophies, three for smash hit "Look at Me Now".

Phase one of the Made in America festival's lineup has been announced, with legendary rock group Pearl Jam leading the pack at Jay-z's Philadelphia extravaganza.
The other artists listed in a Facebook post on the festival's page reveal a diverse and textured lineup. Passion Pit and Miike Snow are sure to please indie dance rock fans while Santigold and Janelle Monae will add a youthful and soulful element to the show. There's already a strong dose of hip-hop and rap as well, with Jay-z himself, Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Odd Future and Wale slated to perform. Rita Ora, Jay-z's signee of the moment, is also on the lineup.
Fans of '90s R&B will certainly be pleased that Hov called in D'Angelo, who will be fresh off July's Essence Music Festival, his first performance in the states in over a decade.
