Jeff Jarrett was trained in the USWA which was run by his father. He wrestled for his father's promotion throughout the 80's before hitting the big time in the early 90's. Jarrett had his first major run in the WWF - winning the Intercontinental Title 6 times before joining WCW. His career sky rocketed in WCW - where he achieved his lifelong ambition of becoming the WCW Heavyweight Champion. He is considered to be one of the best technical wrestlers in professional wrestling today. He is one of the few wrestlers who visualizes his entire match beforehand. He is considered by fellow wrestlers to be a hard worker in the ring and has had classic battles with the best wrestlers in the world - such as Bret Hart, Sting, and Chris Benoit.

Appeared on "WCW Monday Nitro" (1995) just one night after being on a WWE PPV and cut a controversial promo regarding Vince McMahon and the WWE.

In one of the most controversial moments in WCW, he allowed Hulk Hogan to pin him for the World title by lying down in the middle of the ring. After the match Vince Russo lashes out at Hogan for not co-operating with management. Russo declares that Jarrett & Booker Huffman (aka "Booker T") would wrestle for the NEW World title later that night.

Is the Vice President of TNA Wrestling (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling)

While still with USWA (United States Wrestling Assocation), Jarrett appeared at WWF(E) house that was running in Memphis. He made a challenge to then Champion Bret Hart for Hart's world title. The moment provided much controversy back then because a wrestler from an outside indy promotion challenging the WWF (E) world champion under those circumstances had never been done before. Jarrett even made more challenges and the weekly USWA TV show in Memphis.

There is legitimate dissension between Jarrett and Hulk Hogan stemming from a match they were to have in 2000, where neither wanted to lose to the other.

Won his debut match in 1986 with the wrestling organization CWA Memphis against Tony Falk.

Has been managed by Brian James (aka "The Roadie"), Robert Fuller (aka "Tennessee Lee"), Ronnie Gossett, 'Debra McMichael', Stacy Carter.

Has been tag team partners with Matt Borne, Cody Michaels, 'Kerry Von Erich', 'Mil Mascaras', Billy Joe Travis, Bill Dundee, Jeff Gaylord, Brian Lawler (aka "Brian Christopher"), Jerry Lawler, Robert Fuller, Owen Hart.
