Professional surfer Bethany Hamilton will portray herself in Alcon Entertainment’s family feature, “Dolphin Tale 2.”

"Waterworld" and "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" director Kevin Reynolds has signed on to helm the Biblical epic "Resurrection" for Ld Entertainment.

Based around the New Testament story from the Bible, the story follows an agnostic Roman centurion at the time of the alleged resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The film is said to play up the mystery aspects of the Biblical story, and tonally is aiming to be akin to "Gladiator".
