10 Extremely Comic-Accurate Superhero Movie Costumes

7 hours ago | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Filmmakers face a very difficult task when they have to bring a comic book character to life. On the page, the only limit is the artist’s imagination, but what works in a comic book might not work – or even be possible – in live-action.

As such, fans never know whether a movie will deck out its stars in the same duds worn by their comic counterparts or completely redesign the costume. For instance, while Batman always gets to keep his cape and cowl, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine has never once worn the classic yellow outfit.

Some superhero movies, however, feature characters who could have walked straight off the page. Join us, then, as we take a look at the 10 most comics-accurate costumes ever featured in a superhero movie. If your favourite isn’t on the list, be sure to let us know in the comments section. »

Wolverine 3 wraps production

22 August 2016 3:50 PM, PDT | Cinelinx | See recent Cinelinx news »

Wolverine 3 has wrapped production and no one is more excited then Hugh Jackman himself.

It has been roughly 16 years that Hugh Jackman has been playing the character of Wolverine. Love or hate the X-Men Films, I think we can all agree he has become synonymous with the character. Rivaled only by possibly Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Now as Wolverine 3 has wrapped production Jackman has taken to his Instagram in celebration of his final outing of the beloved mutant.

Goodbye iconic Wolverine chops, as the man cleans himself up. We know very little about the 3rd and final Wolverine solo film. Most have speculated that it will be following the Old Man Logan story line as much as possible However, if you stayed for the post credits earlier this year on X-Men: Apocalypse, we can all say the safe bet has Wolverine going up against, my personal favorite X-Men villain, »

Hugh Jackman Says Goodbye to Wolverine by Shaving His Chops

22 August 2016 11:58 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Just a few days ago, Hugh Jackman shared one final photo from New Mexico as production wrapped on Wolverine 3, which is set for release on March 3, 2017. Now that filming is completed, the countdown to the first trailer begins, although it's unclear when any footage, or even the official title for that matter, will be unveiled. While we wait for more information, Hugh Jackman shared a video on social media, with the actor saying goodbye for good to his Logan character's signature mutton chops.

Early this morning, the actor posted a brief eight-second video on Twitter where he's seen using an electric razor to shave off his Wolverine mutton chops. The actor also reveals that his wife, producer Deborra-Lee Furness, will be "very happy" that his facial hair is gone. Since the R-rated action-thriller Wolverine 3 will be Hugh Jackman's last turn as Logan/Wolverine, this video surely marks the end of his 16-year muttonchops era, »

Hugh Jackman Says Goodbye To His Mutton Chops As Wolverine 3 Wraps Shooting

22 August 2016 11:48 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

The X-Men franchise will reach an end of an era next year when Hugh Jackman bids farewell to perhaps the series’ most iconic character in Wolverine 3 (which is rumoured to be titled Wolverine: Weapon X). Not much is known about the movie as of right now, though Patrick Stewart has a leading role, so we know it takes place in X-Men: Days of Future Past‘s new timeline.

Past rumours have also pointed to Wolverine 3 adapting “Old Man Logan” and introducing X-23, so it’s pretty obvious that Logan is going out with a bang as Jackman moves on from the role which made him a household name since his first appearance as the clawed mutant way back in 2000’s X-Men.

As part of his goodbye to this part of his life, the Australian actor has today shared a video on Twitter showing him shaving off Wolverine iconic mutton chops for the very last time. »

Wolverine 3 Wraps in New Mexico

Back in early May, filming began on 20th Century Fox's Wolverine 3, which has been confirmed to be Hugh Jackman's last movie as the title character, which will also be R-rated. While there is still very little known about the actual story, a few set photos surfaced during the production, which started in New Orleans before moving to New Mexico. Now it seems filming has wrapped, with star Hugh Jackman posting a fond farewell to the state.

While Hugh Jackman doesn't specifically say that filming has wrapped in his Twitter image, which features the actor overlooking some picturesque New Mexico scenery, he does say "Thank you New Mexico!" On Location Vacations has also confirmed that filming has wrapped, with the actor posting photos back in his native Australia just a few days after his goodbye image. Now that filming has wrapped, hopefully 20th Century Fox will finally start revealing any details about this mystery project, »

Hugh Jackman Teases Old Man Logan Look in Wolverine 3

11 August 2016 6:37 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Production has been under way for the past few months on Wolverine 3, which has easily been the most secretive in the entire trilogy. 20th Century Fox has yet to even confirm the full cast list and even the official title. We have already seen a few set photos featuring Hugh Jackman in action, and there have long been rumors that this movie, which will be Hugh Jackman's last as Wolverine, will be adapted from the Old Man Logan comic book. Today we have another photo of Hugh Jackman which may hint at the Old Man Logan story line after all.

The actor posted this latest image on Instagram, which doesn't seem to be from the set, featuring the actor giving a thumbs up next to three rather large fish. Still, he looks quite skinnier in this photo, which have some questioning whether this new look is for the movie, »

Hugh Jackman Now Knows What It Feels Like to Be a Woman in Hollywood

We may as well give up. It's all over. The Internet has lost its damn mind. We're going to preface this by noting that it's highly unlikely that Hugh Jackman reads his Instagram comments. The man's got other fish to fry. Quite possibly literally, in this case. Not to mention a family to cherish, scripts to read and weights to lift. But since other people read the comments posted on Hugh Jackman's Instagram account, we now know that a picture he posted yesterday sparked the kind of "concern" that usually is more popularly reserved for his female colleagues. Namely, every actress ever, whether she's on social media or not. See, what happened is, the relentlessly fit »

The Wolverine III: Hugh Jackman Looking Old Man Logan-y In New Photo?

11 August 2016 3:22 PM, PDT | LatinoReview | See recent LatinoReview news »

It seems to be the worst kept secret in Hollywood right now that Hugh Jackman is currently hard at work on a Wolverine film that, at least to some capacity, borrows elements from the beloved Old Man Logan graphic novel.

The folks over at JustJared, as recently as a month and a half ago, posted set photos showing Jackman in full Old Man Logan attire (Or as I call it, Mel Gibson attire) along with an aged Professor X, played by Patrick Stewart. Here's one of the many photos they posted:

On Wednesday, Jackman posted a photo to his Instagram account, and in it, he's looking quite aged indeed.

Below is the photo:

The obvious conclusion here is that he's got the Old Man Logan look, but some folks on the internet have other thoughts. Some go so far as to say Jackman looks sickly or decrepit. Some may argue »
