Days of Our Lives Round Table: Choose Rafe's Next Romance

  • TVfanatic
Nicole was accused of killing Deimos, who was off visiting Chloe, Theresa had a bad dream, and Chad’s real world turned into a nightmare on Days of Our Lives.

Our TV Fanatics Jack Ori and Christine Orlando are joined by Fluffysmom from MyHourglass a Days of Our Lives fan forum to debate who has the best chemistry with Deimos, Theresa’s dream sequence, and if Aiden can be redeemed now that he’s back in Salem.

Would you like to see Rafe paired with Hope, Nicole, Blanca, somewhat else? No one at all?

Jack: Rafe and Nicole are my dream couple right now (as in the dream that will never come true). They have a ton of chemistry and would be an interesting pair, and if Adriana doesn't think Hope is good enough for Rafe I can't imagine what she'd say or do if he were paired with Nicole.

Collins' Sex Novels Have Enjoyed Unexpectedly Few Film Versions (The Stud, The Bitch)

Joan Collins in 'The Bitch': Sex tale based on younger sister Jackie Collins' novel. Author Jackie Collins dead at 77: Surprisingly few film and TV adaptations of her bestselling novels Jackie Collins, best known for a series of bestsellers about the dysfunctional sex lives of the rich and famous and for being the younger sister of film and TV star Joan Collins, died of breast cancer on Sept. 19, '15, in Los Angeles. The London-born (Oct. 4, 1937) Collins was 77. Collins' tawdry, female-centered novels – much like those of Danielle Steel and Judith Krantz – were/are immensely popular. According to her website, they have sold more than 500 million copies in 40 countries. And if the increasingly tabloidy BBC is to be believed (nowadays, Wikipedia has become a key source, apparently), every single one of them – 32 in all – appeared on the New York Times' bestseller list. (Collins' own site claims that a mere 30 were included.) Sex

Daytime Emmys: Fifth time's the charm for Bradford Anderson ('General Hospital')?'
Bradford Anderson left "General Hospital" last December, but he has one more chance to win at the Daytime Emmys. After four unsuccessful nominations for Best Supporting Actor, will the academy send him away with a parting gift on his fifth try? -Break- Chandler Massey ('Days of Our Lives') could make Daytime Emmys history with third win Anderson was never a conventional soap star. When he joined "General Hospital" in 2006, his character, computer whiz Damien Spinelli, was largely a comic foil for the deadly serious mob drama that surrounded him. Over time he grew in popularity, and his quirky, fast-talking performance stood out enough for him to rack up four Emmy nods in the last five years. He didn't stand out enough to win, however, even though two of his contests ended in ties. In 2009, on his first nomination, he lost out to Jeff Branson ("Guiding Light") and Vincent Irizarry ("All My Children"). Discus.

'All My Children's' Vincent Irizarry: Soap operas 'are such an important genre'

Zap2it: You've left and returned to "All My Children" several times. Now that you're back for its online life, how do you assess how soap operas have gone?

Vincent Irizarry: This is such an important genre. It has a history that goes back to the beginning of broadcasting. "Guiding Light" was the longest-running show in broadcasting, and you think about not only the millions of people who have been entertained by the genre but also the probable millions who have been employed by it throughout all these shows.

When I first started on "Guiding Light" in 1984, I think there were 12 or 14 soaps at the time. As the years went on, we started to see them get whittled down, and it's tough.

Zap2it: What's your recollection of the time when ABC canceled "All My Children" and its Online Network mate "One Life to Live"?
