How did we come up with this list of 30 best dressed stars for 2011? Many hours of poring through pictures of premieres, award shows, concerts, events … you name it, we saw it. We also think it’s a pretty diverse list covering our favorites and yours. Will you vote for bombshells like Jennifer Lopez or Sofia Vergara, whose Modern Family co-star, Sarah Hyland, has also made it onto the polls. Or for gamine pixies like Zooey Deschanel, Michelle Williams and Carey Mulligan? If you prefer the ingenues, then Chloe Moretz, Hailee Steinfeld and Jennifer Lawrence are on the list as well. The best clotheshorses in H’town are included and they’re the type who look perfectly at home (translation: drop dead gorgeous) in designer wear. We’re talking about women like Anne Hathaway, Zoe Saldana, Olivia Wilde, Amber Heard, Mila Kunis and Blake Lively. The latter’s new boyfriend’s ex, »

The Screen Actors Guild has announced their list of nominations for the best performances of 2011. I have to point out that I'm surprised Tom Hardy and Joel Edgarton weren't nominated for their roles in Warrior, because they were pretty damn awesome in that film. I think they deserved a nom more than Leonardo DiCaprio. I'm a huge fan of DiCaprio but his performance in J. Edgar wasn't his best. Brad Pitt will end up taking home the award for Moneyball though. It was great to see Bridesmaids and The Help get a nomination for best ensemble cast. It will be interesting to see who takes home the award on this list, and how many of them will make their way to the Oscars.
Who would you like to see take home the award?
Here's the full press released with the list of Nominations:

We’re talking about Sarah Hyland’s second 21st birthday, let’s be clear. The Modern Family actress’ birthday is on November 24 and, as she told Us Weekly, “[This year, I was] like, ‘let’s not celebrate my birthday on Thanksgiving, ’cause Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Let’s eat Thanksgiving food and sleep in [on that day].’ Now, I’m actually celebrating my birthday the right way.”
The “right way” was at Bank Nightclub at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday night where Julie Bowen — Sarah’s castmate and TV mom — ensured that the celebrations went down the “right way” as well. She sent the freshly turned 21-year-old a bottle of Peligroso Tequila. Sarah suggested that the bottle is intact adding, “Even if I’m not planning on drinking for the night and my friends are going out, I don’t have to worry and be like, ‘Well, I can’t go there. »

Welcome back, folks! Did you miss us? Even a little? Things get quiet over the holidays, but we've still got things to share. But first, I was hoping as we shift gears into Christmas we might revive the forum topic where members share their Christmas trees. My first tree in the new house is up, though I prefer my outdoor decorations to my indoor ones this year.
I hate to admit that my beloved Muppets were beaten by a sparkly vampire, but Breaking Dawn raked in another $62 million, while my felt friends delivered a solid $42 million. Happy Feet 2 took third, with Arthur Christmas falling into fourth with $17 million and Hugo scraping together $15 million.
Remember that sad little ginger seal that was rejected by its colony a couple of months back? Well, karma isn't always a beyotch, because she's now the star of her Russian zoo.
