Ron Husmann

Long-time popular leading man of Broadway musicals, who made occasional appearances on TV and in films. He was a Tony award nominee for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for "Tenderloin" in 1960.
He was brought in as a temporary replacement in the role of Spencer Garrison on
Love Is a Many Splendored Thing (1967)
when
Edward Power
quit. He filled in until
Brett Halsey
was hired as a permanent replacement.
Toured as the lead in the musicals Irma La Douce, Show Boat, South Pacific, and Oklahoma!.
Stricken with MS, he was unable to sing for 28 years.
Wrote, narrated and co-produced the ten-hour video series 'Broadway! A History of the Musical'.
Graduated from Northwestern University in 1959.
