Kayti Burt Aug 9, 2016

A live action take on Curious George gets the greenlight, from Shrek co-director Andrew Adamson.

A live-action adaptation of the beloved Curious George children's books is in the works at Universal, and it has a shiny new director in the form of Andrew Adamson, the man behind the camera for Shrek and The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe (the film, not the BBC version).

According to Deadline, Adamson is in negotiations to both direct and co-write the Curious George film. We don't have many details about what this live-action film might look like, but - personally - I am getting some serious Paddington vibes from this project. And look how well Paddington turned out.

Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, and Erica Huggins are producing the project through Imagine Entertainment, alongside David Kirschner and Jon Shapiro. Universal's senior production VP Kristin Lowe will also be involved. Imagine and »

It’s a sentence that we here at We Got This Covered have wanted to pen for an awful long time: Warner Bros’ long-gestating adaptation of The Dark Tower has finally entered production.

To prove it, British tabloid The Daily Mail has unearthed a pair of photos from the film’s set in Cape Town, South Africa, showcasing Idris Elba in costume as Roland Deschain (Aka The Gunslinger). Both snaps can be viewed after the jump.

While one still teases a green screen backdrop set against an appropriately rusty, dilapidated set, it’s really Elba’s get up as the famed Gunslinger that will pique the interest of fans. Blinking into the sunlight, the Luther star can be seen sporting one of the Sandalwood guns, tucked away safely in a holster.

Josh Boone Updates On His Interview With The Vampire Reboot

5 May 2016 3:06 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Before there was Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight, there was Anne Rice and her book series The Vampire Chronicles. Wildly popular, the concept was adapted for the screen by the author and released in cinemas as Interview With The Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles in 1994, directed by Neil Jordan, and starring Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Kirsten Dunst. A second adaptation – Queen Of The Damned was released in 2002, but proved to be less of a hit. The whole thing is now resurfacing, however, as filmmaker Josh Boone (The Fault In Our Stars) is confirmed as heading up an Interview With The Vampire reboot.

Boone is clearly in high demand, with several projects in the works – including X-Men: The New Mutants and The Stand. The Interview With The Vampire reboot has been on the cards for some time now, with Brian Grazer producing for Imagine Entertainment, but information had been scarce until Josh Boone »

Vikings star Katheryn Winnick has come aboard in an unspecified role, while Michael Barbieri has also joined the cast as young Timmy. While we'll have to wait and see who Katheryn Winnick is playing, the casting of Timmy could signal that the adaptation will make some major changes from the novel series.

Variety has word of Katheryn Winnick's casting, while Deadline broke the news on Michael Barbieri. In Stephen King's The Dark Tower book series, Timmy is a good friend of Jake Chambers (Tom Taylor), although he doesn't show up until the third book, »

Filming continues apace on the Warner Bros. set of The Dark Tower – no, you read that right – and today, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Fran Kranz has joined the starry ensemble as a last-minute addition.

For those unfamiliar with Stephen King’s celebrated, genre-defining source material, Pimli assists McConaughey’s The Man in Black throughout his journey – his right-hand man, essentially.
