Joe Howard was born on November 24, 1948 in Yonkers, New York, USA. He is an actor and writer, known for The World's Fastest Indian (2005), Anger Management (2003) and Grumpy Old Men (1993). He was previously married to Sharon Howard.

Father of actor Jeremy Howard.
From 1987 to 1994, played one of the very few adult, live-action, children's heroes on national TV as George Frankly in PBS's "Mathnet". "Mathnet" was a serial parody of Dragnet (1951), shown in the context of a larger series called Square One Television (1987), and was the most popular program produced by Childrens Television Workshop since Sesame Street (1969). "Mathnet" had a cult following among adults and college students.
Beat out Phil Hartman for the role of "George Frankly" on Mathnet.
Earned his road stake to move to New York City to pursue acting by working as a private investigator for Pinkerton's National Detective Agency's Albany, NY office.
Lived in Burma (Myanmar) for awhile as a kid while his dad was rebuilding a dam that had been bombed out in World War II.
