Amazon has also released a few more details about Carter's pilot "The After," which it ordered a couple months ago. Limitless TV Series Moves Forward with Executive Producer Bradley Cooper

7 October 2013 9:44 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Relativity Media is continuing its push into television by teaming up with Georgeville Television and Bradley Cooper for a drama series based on the 2011 movie Limitless. No writer has been attached at this time.

Bradley Cooper will executive produce alongside Limitless producers Leslie Dixon and Scott Kroopf. Here's what Relativity Media's Ryan Kavanaugh had to say in a brief statement.

"Limitless is the perfect example of Relativity's multiplatform approach to creating quality content."

Georgeville CEO Marc Rosen also added the following statement.

"The film has an organic natural extension into a compelling and sophisticated one-hour drama that is both a thrill-ride and a social commentary."

Bradley Cooper starred in Limitless as a struggling writer who takes an experimental drug that allows him to use 100% of his brain, which causes his meteoric rise to fame and fortune. Robert De Niro and Abbie Cornish co-starred. The movie, directed by Neil Burger, »

Adam Mason’s Junkie Gets Hooked on Home Video This November

7 October 2013 9:19 AM, PDT | Beyond Hollywood | See recent Beyond Hollywood news »

Director Adam Mason’s dark comedy “Junkie” was recently acquired by the boys and girls at Indiecan Entertainment. With a little assistance from FilmBuff, the movie will soon be available on a variety of different platforms. This is definitely good news for those of you who love savagely humorous films about drug addiction. Although I didn’t love his 2007 flick “The Devil’s Chair,” I really thought Mason’s 2010 endeavor “Pig” was entertaining. Since the guy is hit and miss in my book, “Junkie” could go either way. At least it stars Robert Lasardo. That dude is a beast. Here’s the official synopsis if you’re curious about such things: Co-written by Mason and Simon Boyes, this twisted darkly comedic tale of out-of-control addiction stars Daniel Louis Rivas as a man trying to go clean, and Robert Lasardo as his psychotic brother, who will do anything to stand in his way. »

Brutal New Stills & Artwork For ‘I Spit On Your Grave 2′

3 September 2013 6:44 AM, PDT | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

I written quite a few times on Thn about my admiration for Steven R. Monroe’s vicious, yet ingenious remake of notorious rape-revenger I Spit On Your Grave. I was never a fan of the controversial 1978 shocker directed by Meir Zarchi, but Monroe knocked the intense redo out of the park thanks to a host of brutal set-pieces that need to be seen to be believed (a strong stomach is a must however), as well as impressive performances from Sarah Butler and Andrew Howard.

Anchor Bay tasked the director to return and I Spit On Your Grave 2 will see another unlucky female victim fall foul to a group of sadists before unleashing her own ruthless survival instincts.

Naturally beautiful, Jessica (Dallender) has just settled into New York where she, like many other young women, is trying to make it as a model. But what starts out as an innocent »

BBC America Sets Its Summer Schedule, With Idris Elba's 'Luther' Returning in September

23 May 2013 8:09 AM, PDT | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

Fans of "Luther," the Neil Cross-created crime drama centered around a magnetic turn from Idris Elba as the obsessive police officer of the title, will have to wait until September to see new episodes of the series (and to find out whether Ruth Wilson's flirty  psychopath Alice Morgan will return). BBC America announced its summer schedule today, and "Luther" is slated for what's really the fall. In the meantime, there's the second season of the network's wholly owned original "Copper," which recently added William Baldwin and Lindy Booth as guest stars to a list already consisting of Eamonn Walker, Lee Tergesen, Andrew Howard and Alfre Woodard. The UK drama "Broadchurch" will pair Olivia Colman ("Tyrannosaur") and "Doctor Who" alum David Tennant. Also of interest -- "In the Flesh," an interesting reworking of the whole zombie theme. Fall will find BBC America airing "Burton and Taylor," with Dominic West »
