New Images from Warm Bodies with Nicholas Hoult & Teresa Palmer

31 December 2012 8:00 AM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Jonathan Levine’s Warm Bodies is all but guaranteed to be the best zombie movie since Zombieland, and has been showing a lot of promise over the past couple of months, with the first trailer landing back in November.

We recently caught the opening four minutes earlier in the week, and with its February release date now a matter of weeks away, three new images have made their way online, giving us a new look at the young leading stars, Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: First Class) and Teresa Palmer (Wish You Were Here).

“When a highly unusual zombie rescues a girl from imminent death at the hands of his cohorts, their unlikely romance sets in motion a chain of events that will transform him, his fellow dead and maybe even the whole lifeless world.”

The leading duo are joined by an excellent supporting cast, headed up by the brilliant Analeigh Tipton (Crazy, »

Check Out The Opening Scene From Warm Bodies

29 December 2012 5:41 PM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Jonathan Levine’s newest genre-crossover, Warm Bodies, doesn’t hit theaters until February, but for those who simply can’t wait to see a scene from the film, the opening four minutes have hit the web.

This opening scene really feels a lot more like an extended trailer for the film rather than an actual scene, but that makes it a good one to release. We get to see quite a bit of R (Nicholas Hoult) as he explains the mindset of a zombie who wishes he wasn’t one of the undead. We also see the “bonies” and a guy tearing off his own face. Fairly terrifying in contrast to the humorous tone the rest of the scene has.

This seems like a strong opening for a film that I’m quite excited for. The premise is very interesting, and Levine proved with 50/50 that he’s excellent at mixing genres. »

Watch the first four minutes of Warm Bodies

If the trailer for the zombie love story-slash-comedy, Warm Bodies, made you hungry for more, you’ll be interested in catching the first four minutes of the film, which prove one thing.

Zombies. They seem to be everywhere these days, and the saturation of the zombie genre has provided a minefield of cliches that most authors and filmmakers don’t even bother trying to avoid, and that’s exactly what makes Warm Bodies so refreshing.

I still say zombie purists will gnash their teeth until they break because of some of the things that occur in this movie, but nobody can say this story, based on a book of the same name, isn’t original.

A few of the scenes were seen in the previous trailer but we also get plenty of new footage as ‘R’ moves through the airport imagining what the world, and his fellow zombies, were like before the apocalypse. »

Jennifer Lawrence: 'I need to stand up for myself'

Jennifer Lawrence's New Year's resolution is to stand up for herself. The 'Silver Linings Playbook' star thinks she is a pushover and wants to learn how to be more assertive without upsetting other people. She told Marie Claire South Africa's January 2013 issue: 'My New Year's Resolution is to stand up for myself. It's hard for me. Nobody wants to be disliked. You always want to be polite and be nice. I tried to find a balance in saying what I mean and still being nice. I can't do it. I have this 'okay' attitude and everything. I end up allowing myself to get walked over and resenting it.' Oh Right, It's Because I'm Dead: Watch The First 4 Minutes Of 'Warm Bodies'

28 December 2012 6:37 AM, PST | The Playlist | See recent The Playlist news »

With a little over a month until the release of the Jonathan Levine-helmed adaptation of “Warm Bodies,” the first four minutes of the zom-rom-com have arrived, courtesy of Fandango. We were in the minority that thought the premise seemed silly when the first trailer premiered but see for yourself with this preview which gives a better sense of the overall tone. Based on the best seller by Isaac Marion, the film centers on Nicholas Hoult (“X-Men: First Class”) as the zombie R who falls in love with the very human Teresa Palmer and begins to turn back into a person because love heals all or something. We’ll try to keep an open mind for the film, it certainly seems more inspired than the higher-budgeted “World War Z,” and it's always was nice to see Rob Corddry, grunting or not. The film opens on February 1, 2013. Check out the opening scene below. »

Due out in February 2013, Warm Bodies is promising to be the most fun we’ve had with a zombie film since Ruben Fleischer’s Zombieland.

We’ve seen plenty from the film already to convince us it should be excellent – most recently with a handful of new posters, and the latest trailer arriving last month – and with its release just over a month away, Fandango have debuted the opening 4 minutes to raise your anticipation.

“When a highly unusual zombie rescues a girl from imminent death at the hands of his cohorts, their unlikely romance sets in motion a chain of events that will transform him, his fellow dead and maybe even the whole lifeless world.”

Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: First Class) and Teresa Palmer (Wish You Were Here) head a great cast, joined by the awesome Analeigh Tipton (Crazy, Stupid, Love.), Dave Franco (21 Jump Street), Rob Corddry (Children’s Hospital), and »

Matt Damon was a major Obama supporter in 2008, but has expressed his disappointment with the President over the last year. Still, he voted for him. “I assume there will be some Supreme Court appointments in this next term; that alone was reason to vote for him. I don’t think I said anything a lot of people weren’t thinking. It’s easier now more than ever in my life to feel the fix is in, the game is rigged and no matter how hard you work to change things, it just doesn’t matter.”

Not that the writing wasn't on the wall, but NBC has officially passed on Mockingbird Lane.

Is anyone else surprised that the most pirated movie of 2012 was teen party movie Project X?

With pre-production now well underway on X-Men: Days of Future Past, we're starting to get an idea of which X-Men veterans will be appearing alongside their younger counterparts from Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class when director Bryan Singer brings Fox's two X-Men timelines together in 2014. One character we'll be seeing plenty of is that of Professor Charles Xavier, with Patrick Stewart set to reprise his role from the original X-Men trilogy alongside First Class' James McAvoy, and over the past few days both actors have been talking about getting back into the wheelchair for the forthcoming sequel:

"I’m very happy to report that Bryan Singer is coming back to direct the movie. I’m very happy that my lovely friend Ian McKellen [Magneto] is going to be with me," Stewart told Hero Complex, officially confirming his involvement after previously suggesting that Singer had jumped the gun by announcing his casting. »

'Warm Bodies': Watch the first 4 minutes of new zombie romantic comedy

27 December 2012 3:00 PM, PST | Pop2it | See recent Pop2it news »

In the four-minute opening scene of "Warm Bodies," released online today, angsty R (Nicholas Hoult) wonders, "Why can't I connect with people?"

"Oh right -- it's because I'm dead."

A zombie, to be exact, roaming aimlessly in a post-apocalyptic America. Like the vampires and werewolves of "The Twilight Saga" (from Summit, also producing "Warm Bodies"), the monster has become the protagonist in this new genre of filmmaking: the zombie romantic comedy. Zom-rom-com?

Julie (Teresa Palmer), R's love interest, isn't introduced until later, but we do get to meet his best friend, M (Rob Corddry): The two share a grunting, almost conversation in the opening minutes of the flick -- which all take place at the airport, home to R and legions of the undead.

Can true love save them all? Find out when "Warm Bodies" hits theaters Feb. 1, 2013. »

"Why can't I connect with people?" We don't normally post opening scenes like this, but this is more of a promo for a film we're looking forward to anyway, so why the heck not. It's for the zombie romantic-comedy (zom-rom?) titled Warm Bodies, directed by Jonathan Levine (of The Wackness) starring Nicholas Hoult as the zombie R. We've featured a couple of trailers in the past already, as well as numerous posters, so we know what it's about and it actually looks good. While this is a great introduction to the zombie world in Warm Bodies, we don't get to see Teresa Palmer yet, but hopefully this will lock a few of you in. Enjoy!
