Starred in a pilot for a CBS dramatic series called "Mark Dolphin". NOTE: The Saturday Evening Post said this pilot was so bad it became "synonymous with 'total disaster' in show-business idiom."

Did You Know?
No doubt about it, I was in another series---'King Row,' for Warner Brothers. It did nothing for me: in fact, it died after 13 weeks. But Wagon Train
(1957) is the best thing that has happened to me. Fortunately, I held out against an exclusive contract. I'm able to do outside TV once a month. And I can do different things so I won't be typed as a Western actor.
Had to cancel his appearance at the Williambsurg Film Festival in Williamsburg, Virginia, due to health problems. [7 March 2007].
Nice rugged voice.
