Geoffrey Horne was born on August 22, 1933 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is known for his work on The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957), Big Daddy (1999) and Bonjour Tristesse (1958). Following his work on The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957), MGM briefly considered him for a lead role in its 1959 re-make of Ben-Hur (1959), the roles which were ultimately filled by Charlton Heston, portraying Judah Ben-Hur, and Stephen Boyd, portraying Messala, and like in "Kwai," would also have been co-starring with Jack Hawkins.
