Oh My Hell... This Trailer For The Woody Woodpecker Movie Looks Beyond Awful

The first trailer for the live-action/CG animated feature film adaptation of the classic cartoon Woody Woodpecker has been released and it looks absolutely terrible! The story for the film follows "the hyperactive red-headed bird, who enters a turf war with a big city lawyer wanting to tear down his home in an effort to build a house to flip."

As I watched this painfully annoying trailer, I couldn't help but keep wondering why in the hell this movie was made. I know that this is only getting a home entertainment release, but Universal Pictures still spent money on making this thing and it seems like a waste.

The trailer is packed full of zany weirdness that includes a spaztastic Woody pooping on people and just going completely nuts! They tried to keep the character true to the cartoon version of the character, but here it just seems like he's

Sam Worthington in First Trailer for Spiritual Journey Film 'The Shack'

"We've lost so much already, I don't want to lose you, too." Lionsgate has debuted a powerful trailer for an adaptation of a bestselling novel titled The Shack, a spiritual journey story about a father who spends time at a remote shack in Oregon and "finds important truths that will transform his understanding of tragedy and change his life forever." Sam Worthington stars, along with Octavia Spencer, Radha Mitchell, Tim McGraw, Graham Greene, Ryan Robbins, Megan Charpentier, Gage Munroe, Amélie Eve, Derek Hamilton, Jordyn Ashley Olson, Emily Holmes, and Aviv Alush as Jesus (you'll see). This is actually some serious religious propaganda, with a story about Worthington getting a "mysterious, personal invitation to meet with God at a place called The Shack." This looks tailor made for American audiences. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Stuart Hazeldine's The Shack, direct from YouTube: Based on the bestselling novel, The Shack

The Shack Trailer Takes Sam Worthington on a Mysterious Journey

The Shack Trailer Takes Sam Worthington on a Mysterious Journey
Sam Worthington returns to the big screen as mourning father and husband trying to find his way in the first trailer for The Shack, hitting theaters March 3, 2017. This drama will have some heavy competition when it hits theaters, going up against 20th Century Fox's superhero adventure Logan, starring Hugh Jackman and Open Road Films' drama Before I Fall starring Zoey Deutch. This uplifting drama could become a box office hit, providing some counter-programming for those who aren't into superheroes and teen thrillers.

Along with the trailer, Lionsgate has also debuted the first poster for The Shack, which features stars Sam Worthington and Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer. When Octavia Spencer first joined this adaptation of William P. Young's novel last March, it was revealed that she is actually playing God, and while her character's identity isn't exactly revealed in the trailer, it's quite clear that there is something very special about her character,

As a somewhat interesting side story, fans of Syfy Original Movies (yes, they're out there) took to Twitter to express their displeasure with the network for moving the film to Thursday from its usual Saturday night timeslot, opting to DVR it and watch it together en masse on the 29th instead. So many did, in fact, that #IndependenceDaysaster was a trending topic! Huzzah! Power to the people!

Now, on with the Q&A.

Q: Can you two talk about filming the different action scenes?

Tom Everett Scott: It’s interesting when you have to pretend that there are things flying around and chasing you, but you always have to do the same kind of stuff [anyway], you know?

Cast: Poppy Montgomery, Emily Holmes, Antonio Cupo

Summary: An inspiring look at J.K. Rowling’s rise to become one of the most influential writers ever (with more than 400 million copies of her visionary books sold across the globe resulting in a billion-dollar film franchise), Magic Beyond Words follows her humble beginnings as an imaginative young girl and awkward teenager through the devastating loss of her mother and the genesis of the Harry Potter phenomenon in her early twenties. The drama also follows Rowling’s tumultuous first marriage, becoming a mother, her divorce, and the dark days of living on government assistance while publisher after publisher passed on her first novel…before it became an international best-seller and solidified Rowling’s rightful place in literary and cultural history.

'The Secret Circle' casting news: A 'Queer as Folk' reunion

Well, this is awkward... in a fictional sort of way.

Adam Harrington has joined "The Secret Circle," Kevin Williamson's drama pilot for The CW. "Queer as Folk" fans may remember Harrington as Connor James, an actor hired to play the comic book version of Brian Kinney in a movie.

As "Qof" fans know, Brian was played by Gale Harold, who was recently cast as Thomas Meade, the coven leader Diana's (Shelley Hennig) father. What's the saying we're looking for, something about a small world?

Zap2it has confirmed that Harrington, also known for his work on "Dexter," has joined the project as a guest star and will be playing Adam's (Thomas Dekker) father, Ethan Conant. Emily Holmes ("Snakes on a Plane") has also been cast in a guest-starring role: Cassie's (Britt Robertson) deceased mother, Amelia Blake.

"The Secret Circle" follows Cassie as she moves to New Salem and discovers
