Trivia (4)

His bald, wheelchair-bound villain in the opening sequence of For Your Eyes Only (1981) was, quite obviously, Ernst Stavro Blofeld. However, he remained uncredited because of legal disputes over the rights to the previous Bond, Thunderball (1965), and its characters.
Widely known for his role as Lando Calrissian's aide in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980), arguably one of the most famous non-speaking characters in the history of cinema.
In 1952, he appeared at Scotland's Pitlochry Festival Theatre, in the play "The Witch". One of his fellow players was actress Gabrielle Hamilton, whom he would marry the following year. They would divorce by the mid-1960s (following the birth of their daughter, future child star Sarah Hollis Andrews) but would appear together again years later on TV in Strike It Rich! (1986) and The Great Kandinsky (1995).

Personal Quotes (1)

[on his role in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) ] If you've got a part where you're walking around with lights flashing on your head, you can't really fail, can you?
