Now that The Walking Dead Season 4 has started filming, AMC has resumed their series of Q&A features with the show’s cast and crew. Today’s “Dispatches From the Set” is with props master John Sanders, who talks about Daryl’s new crossbow, Andrew Lincoln walking around with the Colt Python on-set, and we get a tease of a new walker kill:

via AMC- Q: As the guy in charge of all the props, what are some staples that bear your mark?

A: The new crossbow for Daryl — I altered that one for the show. I took Norman [Reedus] to a bow range for him to shoot. I was kind of showing off with the guys there, and I was showing him some of the top-end crossbows. I let him shoot the Stryker 380, and once he shot that he had me take pictures of him and had me send them to the producers, »

If you saw a Zombie studio pop up in your area would you join?

The Walking Dead, the most watched drama in basic cable history, returned for an exhilarating third season on Sun., Oct. 14, 2012 at 9/8c. It’s Official: Lawrence Gilliard Jr. Joins the Cast of The Walking Dead Season 4

26 April 2013 1:12 PM, PDT | DailyDead | See recent DailyDead news »

It was rumored earlier this week that Lawrence Gilliard Jr. was in talks to join the cast of The Walking Dead Season 4 in a series regular role. It has now been confirmed and we have some additional character details. As we suspected, the previous character name given was fake. It turns out that he’ll actually be playing Bob Stookey, a character from the comic book series.

The official character description from the casting call listed Stookey as a “former army medic who is deeply haunted by his past — pre- and post-zombie apocalypse. As a result, he’s a bit of a loner, although he maintains a charming/self-deprecating/confident public face.”

In the comic book series, the character is quite a bit older and is the town drunk of Woodbury. We’re curious to see how things will change now that the Woodbury group has moved into the prison. »

First Casting News for The Walking Dead Season 4?

23 April 2013 11:11 AM, PDT | DailyDead | See recent DailyDead news »

Earlier this month, word surfaced that a casting call was issued for a new series regular role on The Walking Dead. We now have a report that claims to know who has been chosen. According to International Digital Times, Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (The Wire- pictured below) is in talks to play Roy Stark.

Previously, it was reported that this character is a “former army medic who is deeply haunted by his past — pre- and post-zombie apocalypse. As a result, he’s a bit of a loner, although he maintains a charming/self-deprecating/confident public face.”

When a rumor like this makes the rounds, many sites will pick it up as official. Keep in mind that this has not been officially confirmed and “in talks” means that deal is not sealed. Additionally, there is no character named Roy Stark in the comic book series. We previously speculated that this could be a fake character name, »

Boston Comic-Con Post Poned

With the ongoing news from Boston, the city is on lockdown and events are being cancelled.

After the terrible news from Boston, the FBI and law enforcment have been frantically searching for two confirmed suspects. Today a shoot out occured and one officer was shot and killed, with another one wounded. Luckily they were able to take out one of the low lifes that set the bombs earlier this week.

However the second suspect, a 19 year old we will not name or make famous, is still on the loose. Due to this the entire area of Boston is on complete lockdown. Trains and taxi's are not providing rides. The airport is still suprisingly running, but getting to and from the airport is complicated.

With the lockdown, the city has shut down all major events that were taking place today, and so far they are on hold for the weekend. The »

Sneak Peek AMC's "The Walking Dead" behind-the-scenes video from the episode "Welcome To The Tombs", as well as Laurie Holden revealing the final moments of her character 'Andrea' in the top-rated Season Finale episode:

"The actual words that were spoken, felt absolutely perfect," said Holden about Andrea's last words in the series.

"It was organic and true to the character and I am grateful that her intent, what was most important in her heart, was finally spoken and shared.

"I will never think of her as a victim. I see her as a casualty of war. 'Andrea' had a tumultuous journey this season, but at the end of the day, in spite of everything, so many positive things came out of it.

"The people of 'Woodbury' did escape and reach their sanctuary and none of the people at the prison were killed.
