Kristen Stewart/Welcome To The Rileys Gets 15-Rating in the UK

14 October 2011 3:56 PM, PDT | Alt Film Guide | See recent Alt Film Guide news »

Starring James Gandolfini and Kristen Stewart, Jake Scott's Welcome the Rileys has received a "15" rating from the British Board of Film Classification. That means no one under 15 can go to a theater showing Welcome to the Rileys, and no one under 15 can rent or buy a DVD of the film. The reason for the censors' rating is that Scott's drama "contains strong language and sex references." Much of that "strong language" (and sex references, for that matter) comes out of Kristen Stewart's mouth, who's no dainty Bella Swan in this one. Best known for her work in the Twilight Saga movies, torn between the affections of a vampire (Robert Pattinson) and a werewolf (Taylor Lautner), in Welcome to the Rileys Stewart plays a teenage pole dancer/sex worker befriended by a couple who had recently lost their daughter. Released in North America in late 2010, Welcome to the Rileys »

Ericson Core To Direct "Youngstown Boys"

14 June 2011 4:31 AM, PDT | Dark Horizons | See recent Dark Horizons news »

Ericson Core ("Invincible") has come on board to direct indie action crime caper "Youngstown Boys" reports Variety.

The true story follows the biggest bank heist in U.S. history which took place in 1972 in Laguna Beach, California. A gang of thieves from Ohio set out to steal $30 million in illegal campaign contributions and blackmail money from President Nixon.

The thieves however went to the wrong bank, hitting a United California Bank instead of Nixon's home Bank of America branch. Making off with an estimated $12 million, seven of the eight conspirators were quickly caught but the getaway driver was able to flee and wasn't arrested until 1980.

Ken Hixon ("Welcome to the Rileys, City by the Sea") penned the most recent version of the script while Anthony Mastromauro is producing. »

13 June 2011 2:41 PM, PDT | Filmofilia | See recent Filmofilia news »

Did you know one of the famous bank robberies in the Us occurred in Orange County?

Cinematographer and Invincible’s first-time director Ericson Core is set to helm the indie action crime movie Youngstown Boys about the heist which took place on 24 March 1972.

Amil Dinsio and his crew from Youngstown, Ohio were hoping to hit a Mother Lode of $30 Million that then-President Richard Nixon had a personal account at United California Bank. However, instead of Nixon’s Bank of America branch in San Clemente the burglars robbed the Laguna Niguel branch of the United Bank of California and made off with around $12 million, a world record at the time

Ken Hixon (City by the Sea and Welcome to the Rileys) wrote the most recent draft of the script.

The take occurred over weekend until just hours before the bank opened Monday morning.

They did an outstanding job of trying to make a clean getaway, »
