Sacha Baron Cohen Signs Exclusive Deal

Sacha Baron Cohen’s Oscar night stunt may have had him escorted from the red carpet, but it seems the bigwigs at Paramount are keen to keep him on borad. According to a press release Baron Cohen has signed a three year first-look deal with the studio, ensuring they have first refusal on any original projects we conjures up in that time. Paramount will also be setting up a fund to help Baron Cohen develop up and coming UK talent.

Sacha Baron Cohen has signed an exclusive first-look deal with Paramount Pictures, it has been announced today.

Cohen has just been in the news for his publicity stunt at the Oscars. Dressed as General Aladeen, his latest character from new film The Dictator, he tipped an urn containing 'the ashes of King Jong II' (but actually a pancake mix) over E! presenter Ryan Seacrest.

Sacha - who had been allowed on the red carpet after an initial ban - was escorted away by security officials. As several amused stars posed for photos by the spilled 'ashes', Academy staff rushed off to get a vacuum cleaner and clear up the mess.

The Dictator star has now committed to make his next original film for Paramount as part of an exclusive, three-year, first-look deal with the actor's Four By Two Films production company. Four By Two Films will be headed by Todd Schulman, »
