If there’s one thing Tom Hardy has been known for other than his roles in “Mad Max,” “The Dark Knight Rises” and “Inception,” it’s his love for his dog Woody. The two have been an inseparable duo over the past couple of years, with Woody joining Hardy for red carpets, interviews and more, so it’s with an extremely heavy heart that Hardy has confirmed Woody has passed away at age 6.

Gadot is noted for her role as 'Wonder Woman' in the 'DC Extended Universe', starting with "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2016), continuing as the lead in "Wonder Woman" (2017), and thereafter in the first part of the "Justice League" films.
At the age of 20, Gadot carried out two years of service as an enlisted soldier in the 'Israel Defense Forces', serving as a combat instructor. She says of her time as a soldier: "You give two or three years, and it's not about you. You learn discipline and respect".
A casting director called her to audition for the part of 'Bond' girl 'Camille Montes' in the film "Quantum of Solace". Although she lost the part to Olga Kurylenko, the same casting director hired Gadot for the role of 'Gisele' in »

Producing and financing films, rather than just taking a fee to sell them, has always been an important part of Sierra/Affinity’s blueprint since the company launched in 2009. Nevertheless, it took several years for the company’s ambitions beyond sales to be fully realized.
The company has produced and financed several titles over the past couple of years and is pushing hard in that direction. As company founder Nick Meyer, who is being honored at Cannes with Variety‘s Achievement in International Film Award, sees it, “a key part of our growth as a company is that we are a production entity.”
Set for release this July via Focus Features is “Atomic Blonde,” the graphic-novel adaptation starring Charlize Theron and James McAvoy. Recent titles also produced and financed by Sierra include the critically hailed “Lost City of Z” by director James Gray, 1960s melodrama “A Kind of Murder,” John Hillcoat »

Courtesy of backing from Netflix, it was thought Andrew Dominik‘s next film would be his long-in-the-works Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde. However, with the struggle to find a leading actress, the film looks to be put on hold in favor of a new drama, once again in a Netflix deal (which, every new day, seems to be a recurring phrase around these parts).
The project is War Party, a Ridley Scott-produced adventure film that will find Tom Hardy starring as a real-life Navy Seal. Although not a great deal more is known about the next film by The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford director, he co-write the script with Harrison Query, who has written the yet-to-be-produced Honor for Sale that John Hillcoat is attached to direct.
As for Dominik, this presumably action-oriented project based on a true story — which Netflix beat Amazon, Universal, and Lionsgate »

As keen Black Mirror fans wait for the fourth season to land on Netflix later in the year, some interesting information about those upcoming episodes has slowly emerged through various sources. Earlier in the month, David Slade revealed that he'd be directing a piece, and the iconic Jodie Foster will also be helming her own episode in season 4, with co-creator Charlie Brooker describing that particular instalment as having more of an "indie drama" vibe about it.

Recently, though (via Digital Spy) magician Penn Jillette surprised eager subscribers to his podcast, 'Penn's Sunday School', by admitting that he is also involved in Black Mirror's forthcoming fourth season finale.

From The Road to Lawless to star-studded crime saga Triple 9, John Hillcoat is a director that specializes in the art of crafting dark, engrossing stories around deeply human characters, even if the latter two movies aren’t talked about in the same breath as his adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s apocalyptic masterclass – and rightfully so.
Since orchestrating a melange of crooked criminals and equally crooked cops in Triple 9, there’s been nary a mention of Hillcoat’s next project, but it seems The Tracking Board (via /Film) has today brought an end to that admittedly brief radio silence. Sources close to Ttb now claim the writer-director has climbed on board to direct an episode of Black Mirror season 4, Charlie Brooker and Netflix’s jet-black anthology series that examines far-future technology through a very particular, and often crushingly bleak, lens. The episode, rumored to be titled “Crocodile,” will purportedly focus on two female protagonists, »

When we were assembling our list of favorite moments of 2016, it was decided late in the process to exclude television and focus solely on movies. The decision was made to keep the list manageable, but it also meant we didn’t get a chance to pay tribute to the third season of the science fiction anthology […]
