“Lucky Day” is being produced by Samuel Hadida – with whom Avary collaborated on “Killing Zoe,” “Rules of Attractions” and “Silent Hill,” among other films — and Don Carmody. Hadida and Carmody produced together the “Resident Evil” and “Silent Hill” movies.

Syfy has canceled the drama after one season, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The series, which counted Matt Damon and Ben Affleck as exec producers, was set in the year 2074 in a dystopian Milwaukee when many countries have gone bankrupt. The series starred Dennis Haysbert, Julia Ormond, Sean Teale, Allison Miller, Eddie Ramos, David Hewlett and Ian Tracey.
