Alexander van Heteren was born in Heerlen, Limburg, Netherlands as Alexander Wilhelmus Johannes Henricus Maria van Heteren. He is a Dutch actor, in recent years especially known in the role of Black Piet and singer for the popular television series
Slot Marsepeinstein (2009). He is also known for the television series
Missie Warmoesstraat (2004), the movie
Dorst (1988) and stage plays.
After graduating from the stage academy he started in public theater in 1978. Movie roles include
Het Brandende Verhaal (1982),
De ratelrat (1987) (Grijpstra & De Gier) and the starring role in
Dorst (1988). In 1983 he performed the role of 'Jan Beveren' for the German movie
Der Aufenthalt (1983).
