Much like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice before it, Warner Bros.Suicide Squad may have proven to be a hit at the box office, but it divided audiences, and receiving a rather vicious mauling from the majority of critics.

Taking to Twitter, director David Ayer has shared some rather honest reflections on the film, discussing his reaction to the critical backlash, as well as revealing what he would have done differently, given the benefit of hindsight.

The groceries at Shopwell’s live their lives by a code that helps them stay peaceful and happy until it’s time for them to leave the comfort of the supermarket and head for “the great beyond”. I was really, really, looking forward to Sausage Party, I truly was. I enjoy a good gross out comedy as much as the next person – maybe more so, given how many I’ve seen – but Rogen’s latest, »

Clay Enos releases new image of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn

3 January 2017 5:37 AM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Suicide Squad set photographer Clay Enos has released another new image of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. It isn’t exactly anything we haven’t seen before, but it’s still a neat gesture, especially considering the box office success of the blockbuster and the mainstream following the Harley Quinn character has gained – so much so that she’ll be headlining her own spinoff movie Gotham City Sirens, which will reteam Robbie with Suicide Squad director David Ayer and reportedly feature Catwoman and Poison Ivy.

It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. Watch the Watchmen-inspired Suicide Squad opening

2 January 2017 4:34 AM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

YouTube user Chris Banks has created an opening credits sequence for Suicide Squad in the same vein as what Zack Snyder did with Watchmen. Both blockbusters were supercharged with a number of notable classic rock songs, so it’s not exactly the craziest mash-up, but still entertaining. Check it out here…

It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself? »
