(1968), The Hotel New Hampshire (1984) and Othello (1965). She was married to Anthony Baruh Lousada. She died on May 6, 2003 in Long Sutton, Hampshire, England.

Daughter of Sir Alan Herbert (A.P. Herbert ), a member of British Parliament, author and playwright.
From the late 1950s until he passed away in 1966, she was a close companion to George Devine. They renovated a cottage (Andrew's Farm) together in Long Sutton, Hampshire, where they both lived until their deaths. Her ashes were scattered there.
