Digital Spy can today (December 22) present a behind-the-scenes look at Holby City's special episode in Sweden. Earlier this month, it was announced that Jac Naylor and Henrik Hanssen will take centre stage in on-location scenes in Stockholm, as Jac is sent on a mission to discover exactly what has happened to the hospital's rogue leader. Rosie Marcel and Guy Henry - who play Jac and Hanssen - worked on the storyline earlier this year, and our gallery below takes a look at the filming and some of the locations used. 'Holby City' heads to Sweden for special episode

Holby City bosses have announced that the show has filmed a special episode in Sweden. Jac Naylor (Rosie Marcel) and Henrik Hanssen (Guy Henry) will take centre stage in the on-location scenes, as Jac is sent on a mission to discover exactly what has happened to the hospital's rogue leader.

Holby City bosses have announced that Only Fools and Horses star Tessa Peake-Jones has joined the cast of the show. The actress has taken on the role of Imelda Cousins, who descends on the hospital as Acting CEO next month. An upcoming storyline on the BBC One medical drama sees Henrik Hanssen (Guy Henry) go Awol from Holby, which leads to Imelda being brought in as his temporary replacement. The initial plan is for Imelda to be at Holby on a short-term acting basis while the hospital board works out a longer-term strategy. Digital Spy can today (September 18) present exclusive pictures of the drama ahead on Holby City as show regular Henrik Hanssen is held captive in a shock storyline twist. Hanssen, played by Guy Henry, finds himself in a dangerous situation when an unhinged man named Nick Mooney targets him in a twisted revenge attempt. Nick (Sam Troughton) is the son of recently-deceased patient Ritchie, who died in the hospital's care in a previous episode. The dramatic storyline begins when Hanssen receives a number of threatening phone calls at work, which leave him concerned over the safety of his staff members. 'Holby City' newcomer George 'will make life difficult'

Holby City newcomer Leander Deeny has promised that his character George Binns will have a big role to play on the show in the coming months. George makes his debut in tonight's (August 14) episode of the BBC medical drama, having been recruited by Henrik Hanssen to improve Holby's financial situation. Deeny and co-star Guy Henry, who plays Hanssen, both appeared on Lorraine today (August 14) to promote the new storyline.

'Holby City' cast dub surgery scenes, says Laila Rouass

Holby City star Laila Rouass has joked that she didn't have to worry about using correct medical terminology when filming complicated surgery scenes. The actress, who is about to make an on-screen exit as Sahira Shah, told Loose Women that dialogue is dubbed when cast members get their terms wrong. Rouass explained: "The great thing is when you do the theatre scenes you've got the mask on, so you can say whatever you like! You just dub it! As long as you can do the actions. You try to get it right, but if you don't... You should see Guy Henry, forget it, he's awful! "You do have heart surgeons on set when you do the theatre scenes.
