This week was a big one for movie trailers.

First off, last night, the highly anticipated Rogue One trailer finally debuted. Many of us sat around on our computers all night waiting for the event, and the trailer did not disappoint. We're pretty spoiled to have another new Star Wars movie this year, and as much as we loved The Force Awakens, this one might look even better.

Besides Rogue One, we also saw new trailers for Disney's Moana, a new red-band trailer for Bad Santa 2, and new trailers for Denis Villeneuve's Arrival, and Robert Zemeckis' Allied. Check out all of this week's new trailers below!

New Bad Santa 2 Trailer Introduces Kathy Bates as Willie's Mom

11 August 2016 11:44 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Earlier this week, we got our first dose of R-rated footage in the red band trailer for Broad Green Pictures' highly-anticipated sequel Bad Santa 2. While it's clear that Billy Bob Thornton's Willie Soke hasn't changed too much since the original 2004 classic Bad Santa, in this sequel, he'll have to contend with his mother, Sunny Soke, played by Oscar winner Kathy Bates. For those seeking footage that's safe for all ages, the studio has released a new green band trailer, which reveals exactly how Willie's former partner in crime, Marcus (Tony Cox), was let out of jail.

At the end of the original Bad Santa, Marcus and his wife Lois (Lauren Tom) were arrested and thrown behind bars. We learned in yesterday's trailer that Marcus is out, and he has a job for Willie that could be worth millions. This new trailer from Broad Green Pictures reveals that Marcus »

Nsfw Trailer For Bad Santa 2 Rings In The Festive Season Early

9 August 2016 2:12 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Billy Bob Thornton’s foul-mouthed narcissist is back and nastier than ever in the decidedly Nsfw trailer for Bad Santa 2.

Yes, he may be the foulest, most hateful Father Christmas to ever don the fluffy red suit, but in reprising a role for the first time in close to 13 years, Thornton revealed recently that he’s aiming to inject more heart into the festive sequel, while still maintaining the crude streak that ensured the 2003 original went down as a cult hit.

“I think we pushed it even a little further this time, not only in the sort of dark humor but also in the emotion. This one has more of a heart, more of a story you would say, but it also went a little further with some of the nasty stuff. We try to keep up with the times.”

That role is, of course, Willie Soke, a borderline »

Billy Bob Thornton returns to his rotten roots as the titular bad Santa Claus Willie Soke in the very Nsfw red band trailer for “Bad Santa 2.”

“Why are you even out of the joint anyway?” he asks Tony Cox’s Marcus, who calls him racist in response, throwing in two expletives. Cox explains that he has a master plan that will yield millions of dollars.

Thurman, played by Brett Kelly, also returns from “Bad Santa,” asking in the trailer “Are you still going to pop my cherry?”

There’s a children mumbling incoherent gift requests to Thornton, who responds, “You could be speaking f—ing Swahili and I wouldn’t know any better.”

Near the end of the trailer, Soke greets his mother — played by Kathy Bates — with a punch to the jaw, prompting the sarcastic response, “You still hit like your f—ing father.”

Watch: Full Red Band Trailer for 'Bad Santa 2' with Billy Bob Thornton

"You need a hug from Santa!" Broad Green has unveiled a new Nsfw red band trailer for Bad Santa 2, the sequel to the holiday comedy Bad Santa (from 2003), starring Billy Bob Thornton as an alcoholic Santa Clause impersonator who uses his cover to pull off large scale robberies. He's back again after 13 years to pull off more heists and get in all kinds of trouble. The cast includes Tony Cox (his sidekick/accomplice from the first movie), Kathy Bates, Christina Hendricks, Ryan Hansen, plus Brett Kelly back as Thurman Merman, who seems to have a big part in the story. The first short teaser a few weeks ago didn't show much, but with this trailer we actually get a look at what's to come and it doesn't seem so bad. Enjoy. Bad Santa 2 Red Band Trailer Arrives

9 August 2016 12:08 PM, PDT | Cinelinx | See recent Cinelinx news »

Bad Santa 2 is on its way and we have our first trailer full trailer to show for it.  Careful though, it's red band only, so maybe wait until you're at home to watch it.

13 years ago Billy Bob Thornton introduced us to Willie Soke. An abusive, vulgar, alcoholic thief who covered his heist under the guise of a mall Santa. Now in 2016 we are finally ready to return the world of the Bad Santa with a trailer that is definitely Nsfw. Check it out here.

Can't watch because you are at work? Don't worry, the green band was dropped as well!

As you can see they don't seem to be skimping us on the raunchy nature the first one was full of. The fear of coarse, in my opinion, is that the trailer is a little short on laughs. Which does not scream trouble, you don't want the best »

Last month, the first trailer for Bad Santa 2 arrived, but we only got a quick glimpse of Billy Bob Thornton's iconic character Willie Soke. Don't Watch the Trailer For Bad Santa 2 at Work - Unless You Work at a Strip Club

In 2003, a little movie called Bad Santa forever changed the way you see mall Santas. Now, Billy Bob Thornton is back as Willie, the crudest Claus, in Bad Santa 2. The movie is set for a Nov. 23 release this year, and the red-band trailer should not be watched at work under any circumstances (unless you work at a very open-minded place), as there are boobs and butts everywhere. Tony Cox is back as Marcus and Brett Kelly is back as Thurman, who has grown up considerably. Christina Hendricks is in as the female love interest (we'll miss you, Lauren Graham!) and you'll get a peek at Kathy Bates as Willie's mother. Check it out! »

A Foul-Mouthed Billy Bob Thornton is Back in Red Band Trailer For ‘Bad Santa 2’

9 August 2016 9:44 AM, PDT | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

After 13 years, there was only one man who we need to save 2016: Billy Bob Thornton‘s Bad Santa. That’s how I imagine the pitch went for the revival of the foul-mouthed, bad behavior Santa Claus who, of course, does have a little heart. So comes the first trailer for Bad Santa 2, with Thornton’s Willie and his fed-up sidekick Marcus (Tony Cox) hatching a plan to knock off a Chicago charity event during that most giving time of year. This trailer shows more of Thornton in action — drinking heavily, spewing venom (and puke), getting jerked off, and other raunchiness.

The film is directed by Mark Waters of Mean Girls fame, off a script credited to four people. Here’s hoping, as usual, that the narrative can maintain some thematic semblance of cohesion while it focuses on Thornton’s strong comedic timing and bad boy antics. See the trailer below, »
