- Meredith married her husband James Henderson on August 8th, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. (08/08/08 at 8). Their officiant was a native elder. They chose an elder because native spirituality has always been close to Meredith's heart. The philosophy reflected both hers and her now-husband's beliefs better than any other religion or ritual. Meredith wore a saree and her husband, a kurta.

- In Grade 6, Meredith went to the Maharishi School for the Age of Enlightenment where she was one of only six children in the entire school. During her time there, she learned Sanskrit, Yoga and Transcendental Meditation.

- Meredith was the honorary patron for the 1999 Freeze Frame Film Festival in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
- She lived in Quebec up until she turned 12, then moved to Ottawa. At the age of 14 she moved to Vancouver with her mother, then at 19 moved on her own to live in Toronto.
- In the "Dresden Files", she got to work with one of her longtime friends Corey Sevier for the first time. Friends since they met around the age of 13, through fellow actor Tod Fennel whom Meredith worked with on the film Kayla and Corey on his YTV show Lassie, they had never had the opportunity to work together before that day.

- During filming of "Shania: A Life in Eight Albums", the film actually shot at a former house of the country singer's. Within the film, Meredith was able to play the very guitar that Shania had owned at the time of her living there. She left it when she moved out and it was passed on to the new owners who then lent it to the film.
- "Stranger at the Door" was filmed in her hometown of Ottawa, Ontario. A few days before her birthday they shot the hospital scenes in the very hospital that Meredith was born in, Riverside Hospital.
- Has a heart shaped scar on the knuckle of the thumb on her right hand.
- Was originally cast as 'the British Girl' in Jumper, the young woman with whom Hayden Christensen has a one night stand early on in the film. They shot the first day but then the director and producer approached her about the part of Fiona, the lead female's best friend. She agreed to audition, landed the part and was re-cast in the new role.
- When she was young, she and her sisters sang at events around their hometown. During a few of these shows, they ended up meeting and singing with another local performer by the name of Alanis Morisette, long before she was as well recognized as she is now.
- In most part she is of Irish and Scottish descent through both her mother and father. Her great grandfather on her mother's side was born in Ireland. On her father's side she is a multi-generational Canadian.
