Joan Whittlesey Hemingway is the older sister of Margaux Hemingway and Mariel Hemingway, daughter of Jack and Byra "Puck" Whittlesey Hemingway and granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway, the author.
Was raised in Havana, Cuba, and Ketchum, Idaho.
Joan Hemingway followed in the family tradition begun by her famous grandfather Ernest Hemingway, and became the coauthor of the book, "Rosebud", and the coauthor along with Connie Maricich of "The Picnic Gourmet", both of which were published in the mid-1970's.
