Upon arriving to the WWF, Shane Helms began going by his first name, Gregory to avoid confusion with Shane McMahon.
The idea for 3 Count came from Jimmy Hart who was running the WCW Saturday Night show. The idea was a take off N'sync and the Backstreet Boys images. Eventually, management liked it so much, they moved Shane Helms, Shannon Moore, and Evan Karagias to the prime time show, Monday Nitro.
