After making Snow White and the Three Stooges (1961), the studio had a second script for Carol, entitled "Love in a Cool Climate". But she would have had to learn to sing and dance. She turned down the project, and returned to family life in Ohio.
Many celebrities came to watch filming of the skating scenes for Snow White and the Three Stooges (1961). Carol asked for their autographs. The studio reprimanded her for doing so, as they felt this was not appropriate behavior for "a star in the making".
Used part of her salary from the movie Snow White and the Three Stooges (1961) to pay college tuition for her sister and brother, Nancy Heiss and Bruce Heiss.
Inducted into the New York University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012.
