"Last Comic Standing" crowned its seventh winner Monday night (Aug. 9), with Felipe Esparza taking home the title and a $250,000 prize.
Esparza beat out Tommy Johnagin for the title in NBC's two-hour season finale. Roy Wood Jr. came in third place.
Esparza had a relatively easy road to the finals -- he only really had to sweat it out two weeks ago, when he and Rachel Feinstein were the last two left. He got the pass to the next round, though, and on Monday night viewers voted him the best of this season's crop. He joins past winners Iliza Shlesinger -- who also performed Monday -- Jon Reep, Josh Blue, Alonzo Bodden, John Heffron and Dat Phan.
He'll also get an NBC talent deal in addition to his quarter million bucks.
Here's Esparza's set from last week's episode:

Comedian Gabriel Iglesias had his third Comedy Central stand-up special last night, titled "I'm Not Fat…I'm Fluffy." It's part of his trademark bit about "levels of fatness." I can't help but notice: What is up with the names of stand-up specials? Recent installments include: "Greg Behrendt: That Guy From That Thing," "Jon Reep: Metro Jethro," "Nick Swardson: Seriously, Who Farted?", which is incredibly classy. There are ones that have "funny" in the actual title -- "John Heffron: Middle Class Funny," "Adam Ferrara: Funny as Hell" -- and ones that rely on the beloved comedy school...

NBC scored its best Thursday numbers since the May with the finale of Last Comic Standing, but CBS still took the night on the strength of Big Brother 5 and drama repeats. NBC's Last Comic, which crowned John Heffron as king of the standups, averaged 9.1 million viewers and 4.4 rating/13 share in the adults 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary estimates from Nielsen Media Research. That was up 19% from the finale of last summer's Comic. The 9 p.m. closer of Comic, which spiked from its Will & Grace repeat lead-in (6.6 million, 2.9/9), also marked the first telecast to top a repeat of CBS' CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in adults 18-49 (NBC's 4.3/13 to CBS' 4.2/13) since ABC's NBA finals coverage in June. But CBS nonetheless took the night on the strength of 8 p.m.'s Big Brother (10 million, 3.9/13) and 10 p.m.'s Without a Trace (10.8 million, 3.5/10). Despite the Comic lead-in, NBC's 10 p.m. encore of ER (6 million, 2.6/8) was little competition for Trace. ABC wasn't much of a factor for the night with two repeats of Extreme Makeover capped by newsmagazine Primetime Live adding up to a nightly average of 7.1 million viewers and 2.4/7 in the key demo. Fox was even worse off with a repeat of its Celebrity Boxing 2 special (3.6 million, 1.6/5) getting KO'd from 8-10 p.m. For the night, CBS led with 10.9 million viewers and 3.9/12 in adults 18-49. NBC was No. 2 with 7.2 million and 3.2/10 in the demo.
