Sophie Heathcote was born on December 25, 1972 in Melbourne, Australia. She was an actress, known for Water Rats (1996), Grass Roots (2000) and A Country Practice (1981). She was married to Chris Clark. She died on January 4, 2006 in Connecticut, USA.

In 2004, Heathcote took a break from acting to move to New York to be with her husband, advertising agency chief Chris Clarke, with her daughter and 16-month-old son.
Along with her husband she established an annual fund-raising event that raises $500,000 a year for the neonatal unit at the Royal Children's Hospital after staff there saved the life of their first child, Madeleine, who is believed to have suffered respiratory problems.
Retired from acting in 2001 to concentrate on marketing her natural skin care formula, which she founded years earlier.
