Mehgan Heaney-Grier was born on August 26, 1977 in Minnesota, USA as Mehgan Renee Heaney. She is known for her work on Into the Blue (2005), Turistas (2006) and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003). She has been married to Silas Binkley since June 26, 2010.

Professional free diver since 1996.
Established the first-ever, constant-weight Freedive record for both men and women in the USA, 1996. Less than a year later she took the plunge again breaking her own record with a successful dive to 165 ft.
Has one older sister Erin, born 1975.
Can hold her breath for 4 minutes, 36 seconds.
Began modeling at age 14 when a photographer showed her photo to a Miami Beach Modeling Agency.
Captained the first-ever US Freedive team to the World Cup in Sardinia, Italy in 1998.
Has been freediving with sharks for 15 years and has had hands-on experience working with over 5 species of sharks including the Great Hammerhead and Tiger Shark.
