Survived the sinking of H.M.S. Limbourne at Sept Isles, Canada in 1943
Was originally going to provide the voice for Gromit in A Grand Day Out (1989) but director Nick Park decided that Gromit was actually quite expressive as a silent character, using facial expressions to communicate.
