Ron Haver was born on January 14, 1939 in Oakland, California, USA as Ronald D. Haver. He is known for his work on The Making of a Legend: Gone with the Wind (1988), The Player (1992) and You Must Remember This: A Tribute to 'Casablanca' (1992). He died on May 18, 1993 in Los Angeles, California.

Film historian and preservationist, served for over 20 years as director of film programs for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
In 1983, managed the critically acclaimed restoration of "A Star Is Born" (1954)
