Walter Haut (1922–2005)

Trivia:

A former spokesman for the now-defunct Roswell Army Air Field, Haut was ordered by his commander Col. William Blanchard on 8 July 1947 to issue a news release about a recovered flying saucer. He said he never was told where the flying disc was found, but he always believed it was a UFO. The Army later released a statement that the recovered wreckage was only a weather balloon.
