Marcie Goldwater
- Actress
Marcie Goldwater was raised in south central New Jersey where she grew up performing in local productions, dancing, singing and acting. As one of 10 nominated and accepted students from the entire State of New Jersey, she attended the Governor's School of the Arts as a teenager in their exclusive acting program. A year in the north of France helped hone her language skills and prepare her for the intense learning at Mason Gross at Rutgers University. Rutgers did not appear to be a good fit, however, as she made the transition back to American life. She left Mason Gross to study with the late Herbert Berghoff at HB Studios in NY until she could figure out how to make the move to the west coast. Marcie auditioned at the prestigious New York American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and she received a scholarship to attend their program at either of their campuses. The pull to California had always been strong and so she chose to attend at their Pasadena, California campus. Life got in the way, as it were, and Marcie's career was put on the back burner as she married and raised two incredible daughters. A near-death experience made Marcie realize that it should never be too late to go after your dreams. And now, she is back - doing the work, hoping to touch people near and wide with the craft that has never left her heart.
