Louis C.K. Gets Fired from Secret Life of Pets 2
Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment have announced they are cutting ties with controversial comedian Louis C.K., who will not be returning for the animated sequel The Secret Life of Pets 2. The move comes in the wake of a New York Times report where five women came forward and revealed that the beloved comedian either masturbated in front of them, or during phone conversations. In a surprising move, Louis C.K. admitted these stories were true in an impassioned statement earlier today, which has lead to an exodus of sorts, with networks, studios, production companies and even his publicists cutting ties with the comedian.

In the original animated hit The Secret Life of Pets, Louis C.K. provided the voice of Max, a beloved Jack Russell Terrier dog who was the main protagonist in the story, who had been expected to return but will no longer do so. It isn't known if the

Universal Pictures and Illumination have terminated their relationship with disgraced comedian Louis C.K. for the sequel “The Secret Life of Pets 2.”

He voiced the lead character Max, a Jack Russell terrier, in last year’s “The Secret Life of Pets,” which grossed $875 million worldwide and also starred Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, and Kevin Hart. The sequel is scheduled to open on June 7, 2019.

Universal and Illumination made a short one-sentence announcement on Friday afternoon and did not elaborate. The move came a day after the New York Times published a story alleging that C.K. had repeatedly asked women he encountered in work-related environments to watch him masturbate. He confirmed the stories on Friday morning.

“These stories are true,” C.K. said in his statement. “At the time, I said to myself that what I did was okay because I never showed a woman my d— without asking first, which is also true. But what I

Louis Ck and Others Didn’t Just Allegedly Harass Women — They Silenced Them
As an avalanche of stories about bad behavior in Hollywood consumes the industry, it’s time to not only question the system that enabled this behavior, but acknowledge the full extent of the resulting damage.

For instance, in the NY Times exposé on Louis C.K.’s long history of sexual misconduct, two of the two women who watched C.K. get naked and masturbate in front of them, writers Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov, told the newspaper that they didn’t go to the police because they were unsure whether or not what he had done was a criminal act.

But beyond whether C.K.
