Doris Roberts, 'Everybody Loves Raymond' Star, Passes Away at 90

Actress Doris Roberts, best known for playing the title character's mother in the hit sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, passed away last night at the age of 90. The actress' son, Michael Canata, confirmed to Deadline that she died in her sleep last night from natural causes. Here's what the actress' Everybody Loves Raymond co-star Ray Romano had to say in a statement about her passing.

"Doris Roberts had an energy and a spirit that amazed me. She never stopped. Whether working professionally or with her many charities, or just nurturing and mentoring a green young comic trying to make it as an actor, she did everything with such a grand love for life and people and I will miss her dearly."

Doris Roberts was born November 4, 1925 to Ann (Meltzer) and Larry Green in St. Louis, Missouri, whose legendary career spanned over seven decades. She started acting in the early 1950s, appearing »

Famous friends and on-screen family are remembering Doris Roberts. Roberts died peacefully in her sleep of natural causes, People can confirm. In the Cut: Bounce TV Show Renewed for Third Season

Bounce TV has renewed the In the Cut TV series for a third season. Season three will premiere in the third quarter of 2017. In the Cut stars Dorien Wilson, Ken Lawson, and John Marshall Jones. The cast also includes Jackée Harry and Dorion Renaud.

The Bernie Mac Show's Kalita Smith joins the sitcom in season two, which premieres in July. The series was quietly renewed for a second season some time ago and those episodes have been shot and are currently being edited.

In The Cut was created by Bentley Kyle Evans who produces with Trenten Gumbs, both of whom are having a pretty good day. The duo produces Family Time, which was also renewed, today. The In the Cut season season three order was announced in a multi-show press release. The relevant portions are excerpted, below.

Freeform has announced its Young & Hungry and Baby Daddy TV series will have their summer premieres, Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 8:00 and 8:30pm. Young & Hungry stars Emily Osment, Jonathan Sadowski, Rex Lee, Aimee Carrero, and Kym Whitley. Tyler Ritter will guest star in the fourth season.

Season 5B of Baby Daddy, starring Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Derek Theler, Tahj Mowry, Melissa Peterman, and Chelsea Kane, will pick up where it left off in the mid-season finale, which aired this week, on April 6. Upcoming guest stars include: Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Loni Anderson, Eddie Cibrian and Jackée Harry.
