Damon Harman received his Associate Degree in film and video production from The Center Of Recording Arts in Orlando Florida. Since arriving in Los Angeles in 1996, Damon has directed commercials for Coca Cola, Emporio Armani, and Calvin Klein. His producing credits include commercials for Eckerd Drugstore and national promos for Cinemax Asia, Fox Family Worldwide, Pax TV, and Blind Date. In the fall of '99 he directed the first season of Courage a television show hosted by Danny Glover that premiered on Fox Family Channel. He also directed two short films entitled Merlot and No Ordinary Love, which reflect the wide range in his directing style and technique.
Harman co-created and was the Executive Producer / Showrunner on MTV's "Taildaters" (2002), which aired 130 episodes in 4 seasons. Other Executive Producer / Showrunner credits include, MTV's "Burned" (2003), which premiered in July, 2003 with a 30 episode order, "VH1's Love Songs: S.O.S." and "Remix", a DJ dance competition pilot created by Damon and sponsored by Avery's Afterburner DJ labeling software.
In January 2004 Harman partnered with Steve Harvey and Rushion McDonald to executive produce "Pulled Over" for E! Entertainments' Style Network, hosted by Nia Peoples.
In a successful attempt to raise money for Tsunami Relief February 2005, Harman directed and produced an ensemble music video. Artists include Brian McKnight, Mya, Nate Dogg, and many others who came together to support the victims of the Tsunami tragedy. The song and video sold on iTunes and all proceeds went to Tsunami Relief.
In 2006 Damon co-founded DNA Creative Media a full service boutique advertising/marketing agency. DNA Creative Media is a progressive Advertising/Marketing agency focusing on special interest projects that help National Brands get maximum exposure in all emerging media outlets through a non-traditional strategic campaign. Pooling together his commercial and television background, Harman allows DNA to service their clients in an ever-changing marketplace.
Currently, Harman is executive producing a 7 episode television series centered around the rebuilding of a community center in New Orleans damaged during Hurricane Katrina. The entire show is sponsored by national brands through DNA Creative Media.
