In this episode of the WrestleTalk News, Jeff Hardy talks about wanting to return to WWE, reports of him behaving strangely at a recent wrestling appearance, and all the changes made to the brand split’s first episode of Monday Night Raw.

Raw’s Brand Split Makeover!

Our top story today is Jeff Hardy’s comments about returning to WWE, but first – it’s a new era. And Raw…was Cor.

The first post-brand split episode of Monday Night Raw aired last night, and the presentation of the show has undergone a massive overhaul. We got a new opening video package, logo, theme music (which is called ‘Enemies’ by Shinedown, if you want to add that to your workout playlist) and set. The stage now has a theatre-like proscenium arch, and – in »

The following is a guest post from WrestleTalk. Subscribe to their YouTube channel for new videos every day.

In this episode of the WrestleTalk News, the sale of Tna reportedly “closer” than ever, and WWE & Tna stars Matt Hardy, Reby Sky, Bray Wyatt and Senor Benjamin have a heated Twitter exchange over WWE’s Compound Match allegedly copying Tna’s Final Deletion segment…

WWE & Tna Stars Clash Over Final Deletion!

Our top story today is the latest development in the sale of Tna, but first – Brother Nero! I knew you’d come…

Last Tuesday saw Tna air the Final Deletion match between Matt and Jeff Hardy. For those of you that somehow haven’t heard what that is – because it’s been everywhere – it was a match shot like a weirdly edited avant garde movie. Many think this is what led WWE to air their Compound Match between The New »

In today’s WrestleTalk News, Bret Hart shoots hard on Triple H (again) and the latest updates on whether Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio are returning to WWE for the brand split…

Returning WWE Stars Update

Our top story today is Bret Hart’s latest shoot comments on Triple H, but first, an update on all those ex-wwe stars who were reportedly approached for a brand split return.

Last month Forbes reported that WWE had reached out to a number of ex-wwe stars about a return to the company to fill out a roster that’s going to be thinned with the Raw and Smackdown brand split.

Kurt Angle and Goldberg were both names on that list, but they have since said there have been no such talks. Goldberg says his WWE »

In today’s WrestleTalk News, WWE’s Monday Night Raw gets its lowest rating since 1997 – what could this mean for the company going forward? – and the fallout and online reaction continues for Tna’s Final Deletion match between Matt and Jeff Hardy – this time from Lucha Underground’s executive producer and The Young Bucks’ Matt Jackson.

Tna’S Final Deletion Fallout

Our top story today is the latest low point in Raw’s ratings crisis, but first, the fallout from Tna’s very divisive ‘Final Deletion’ match between Matt and Jeff Hardy on this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling.

In today’s WrestleTalk News, Goldberg reveals whether he has had talks about a wrestling return to WWE off the back of his WWE 2K17 deal, and a reaction to Tna’s bizarre closing segment last night – the ‘Final Deletion’ mini-movie match between Matt and Jeff ‘Brother Nero’ Hardy.

R.I.P. Wrestling

Our top story today is Goldberg’s comments on whether he’ll be returning to WWE for the brand split and a possible Hall of Fame induction, but first – some sad news to start with. Tna killed wrestling last night.

The following is a guest post from WrestleTalk. Subscribe to their YouTube channel for new videos every day.

In today’s WrestleTalk News, a load of ex-wwe stars – including Kurt Angle, Goldberg and Jeff Hardy – reportedly contacted about making their brand split returns, Jerry Lawler suspended by WWE and Ric Flair’s latest business venture…

Jerry Lawler Suspended By WWE

Our top story today is about all the huge ex-wwe stars who have been asked to return for the upcoming brand split, but first Jerry Lawler has been suspended by the WWE.

Late last week, WWE commentator Jerry Lawler and his fiancee Lauryn McBride were arrested following a domestic dispute. As for what exactly happened, there are two sides to the story.

Lawler reportedly claims that McBride had lied to him about where she’d been, then scratched his face, threw a candle at him and then kicked him in the groin. »

One (admittedly minor) low-point of this WrestleMania was its title. Instead of simply calling it ‘WrestleMania 25’ or ‘WrestleMania Xxv’, the show’s graphics department and Michael Cole insisted on calling it ‘The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania’. Except that simply wasn’t the case, was it? »

10 Most Dangerous Spots At WWE WrestleMania

24 March 2016 12:22 AM, PDT | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

WWE.com

It may not entirely excuse the muddled, confusing mess that the Shane McMahon-Undertaker ‘storyline’ has become, but it’s pretty clear that WrestleMania 32’s ‘everything is on the line’ Hell in a Cell match is going to include some wild stunts. It has to, in order to make up for the unimaginative build, right? Besides, Shane’s in the match. For him, falling out of a seventh-story window is merely a transition move.

It wouldn’t be the first time that WrestleMania has seen the action ante’d up with picture-esque carnage. In years past, WWE’s grandest spectacle has been the hub for wrestlers to indelibly etch themselves into wrestling lore through reckless self-sacrifice. Once ladder matches virtually became an annual staple of WrestleMania in some form or another, that was the signature on the permission slip that opened up the floodgates of insanity.

Chris Jericho In-Ring Bust-Up With Ref on Raw

Our top story today, though, is the very real life, in-ring confrontation on this week’s episode of Raw.

Very early into the Chris Jericho/Neville match, Neville broke his ankle when performing a sliding kick. That didn’t stop Neville still doing a spinning kick and hurricarana, though. It seems like gravity isn’t the only thing that forgot him. Basic medical anatomy did, too.

If you listen closely throughout the closing moments, you can hear Neville tell the referee he’s hurt and so Jericho improvises and says he’ll pin him. Jericho rolls Neville up, but then referee Charles Robinson doesn’t count the pin because one of Neville’s shoulders is up. »

18 Most Underrated Storylines In WrestleMania History

1 March 2016 11:09 AM, PST | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

WWE.com

For every “Stone ColdSteve Austin vs. The Rock and Hulk Hogan vs. Andre The Giant, there are two or three underrated storylines that have helped to make WrestleMania the can’t-miss extravaganza it is.

They are the feuds and rivalries that have been overshadowed or lost in the shuffle underneath the programs that have come to define the event. While everyone remembers Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker at the 25th incarnation of the show, the sibling war between Jeff and Matt Hardy on the undercard was accompanied by a story as strong as any other on the broadcast, yet few talk about it today.

WrestleMania X is an epic show, with two legitimate five-star matches featuring Bret vs. Owen Hart and Razor Ramon vs. Shawn Michaels, but there is a very strong program supporting those two matches on the undercard, as Randy Savage and Crush brought their heated rivalry to a conclusion. »

10 Most Unwatchable Wrestling Matches Ever

16 February 2016 6:06 AM, PST | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

wwe.com

Before I go any further, I’ll need to clarify my criteria for judging a wrestling match unwatchable. The word ‘unwatchable’ is a moveable feast: one man’s dinner is another man’s diarrhoea, after all.

So we’re not just talking about nonsense that doesn’t really get started, like Jeff Hardy’s debacle at Tna Victory Road in 2011. We’re not discussing screwjob finishes like Montreal, or the longer Iron Man style matches that turn so many modern wrestling fans off – and if that’s the case, then clearly we’re not going over any of the old school or retro wrestling bouts of yesteryear.

They may have operated under a radically different aesthetic to today’s classics, but that doesn’t make them unwatchable.

Neither am I prepared to curate a long list of mainstream women’s matches over the last couple of decades, where WCW, »

The Undertaker: 5 Awesome Matches & 5 That Sucked

11 February 2016 2:00 PM, PST | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

WWE.com

For 25 years, he’s been the one constant in WWE. While other wrestlers defected to WCW or retired, Mark Callaway has stuck around for a quarter of a century as The Undertaker.

When the gimmick started out at the Survivor Series in 1990, it was thought it’d be a short term gig with a limited shelf life but it’s a testament to the talent of Mark Calaway that he’s been able to stick around for so long and remain an iconic character in the eyes of the fans.

In the 20 plus years he’s been in action, Undertaker has gone from the spectrum of having some classic matches that saved WrestleMania shows to having stinkers that were so awful he lived up to his gimmick by killing crowds. Vince McMahon’s appetite for having Taker face giants, freaks and supernatural folk is seemingly insatiable and thus »

18 Image Changes WWE Wrestlers Should Never Have Tried

9 February 2016 5:04 AM, PST | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

Instagram

Good god, but people in the wrestling business have taken on some godawful image changes over the years. These are people who appear in front of millions for a living, and to whom appearances can be everything… yet very often their appearance is so poorly judged that it looks like their parents lost a bet with God.

We’re not talking about changes in gimmick here, which rules out oddities like Kevin Nash as Oz, or Giant Gonzales and his furry, airbrushed nude-leotard.

Neither are we talking about people who looked hilarious when they started out in the business, when perhaps fashion was a little different or they didn’t know any better – so Jeff Hardy as a scrawny boy-band type and Ric Flair’s high-waisted check trousers and huge coiffure don’t count either.

No, this article is dedicated to the wrestlers that somehow didn’t realise that »

Jeff Hardy Re-Signs With Tna Impact Wrestling

26 January 2016 12:14 PM, PST | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

impactwrestling.com

Bad news Hardy fans, Jeff Hardy has re-signed with Tna Impact Wrestling, with Dixie Carter breaking the news on Twitter “Thrilled to announce @JeffHardyBrand has signed new contract @Impactwrestling & will kickoff #IMPACTonPop tonight.”

There had been some speculation that Hardy was eyeing a WWE return ahead of the news. Additionally, WWE were said to be impressed by the success of The Dudley Boyz return, which apparently made them think about cashing in on bringing other nostalgia acts back. Jeff was linked with being on the company’s radar.

But those in the know always felt it was unlikely: Jeff has had his personal issues and would have represented a risk for WWE. And even though he expressed interest in a big league return, he knew that Tna was a far easier schedule for his battered body. So, it isn’t that surprising that the two sides made the deal. »

19 Wtf Moments From Tna Impact (Jan 19)

Even if Tna’s fresh start on Pop hasn’t exactly been Earth-shattering, it’s still fairly solid all the same, and there’s no doubt that this week’s episode is going to be remembered by fans for months and possibly even years to come.

Matt Hardy took on EC3 in their “final” match, which will no doubt take the careers of all those involved in some unique directions, as Tna pulled out an unexpected trump card to finally liven up a fairly stale feud.

That wasn’t all, though: we also got treated to one of the worst signs in wrestling history, the formation of a new tag team, and the return of one of Tna’s most memorable match types.

25 Wtf Moments From Tna Impact (Jan 12)

13 January 2016 7:16 AM, PST | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

ImpactWrestling.com

This week’s Impact looked set to build on the company’s solid if unremarkable debut on Pop last week (both in terms of quality and ratings), as the rigor of the World Title Series became all but a distant memory and Tna could once again try to build actual storylines.

That said, this week’s show was a mixed bag throughout: several segments fell outrageously flat, and it just doesn’t feel like Tna are putting as much effort into the broadcasts as they should be if they truly want to build their viewer base up again.

Still, it certainly leaves most fans excited for next week’s do-or-die main event (though more on that later), and while Pope seemed oddly well-behaved this week, there was nevertheless plenty of insanity to go around.

Here are 25 Wtf moments from this week’s Tna Impact Wrestling…
