Californication Season 6 Gets Grumpy Gay Boss

10 May 2012 4:18 AM, PDT | Boomtron | See recent Boomtron news »

Things are about to get a little grumpy, and a little gay, on Californication when it returns next year for its sixth season with a new recurring character. Though he is primarily known for his role as Pintel in the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films, Lee Arenberg has been most recently seen as the recurring character of Leroy on ABC’s Once Upon a Time. Of course, everyone on Once has a fairytale past, and Leroy’s saw him as the romantically troubled dwarf Grumpy. You all remember Grumpy, the dwarf from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (though in this version there were eight, but poor Stealthy didn’t live up to his name), right?

Arenberg announced on his Twitter account he had been cast in the recently picked up sixth season of Californication, telling one of his followers the show is going to be “undoubtedly wild. »

Camilla Luddington: ‘No One Wants To See Lizzie’ After ‘Californication’ Season Finale

31 March 2012 8:36 PM, PDT | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

Camilla reveals what's in store for her character -- and how she really feels about always being naked. Californication's fifth season has been quite a roller coaster for Camilla Luddington, whose character has had to juggle multiple jobs -- and multiple guys -- with questionable success. But Camilla tells HollywoodLife.com that the April 1 finale will truly show Lizzie at her lowest. "It's her acting debut, her moment to shine, and it really does not happen for her," Camilla tells me. "She's not happy about that." Camilla adds that Lizzie's behavior in the finale will also reveal just how much she's changed over the season -- and it definitely hasn't been for the better. "She started off the season so sweet and innocent, but by the end, she's all about herself," Camilla explains. "This Sunday, you'll see Lizzie really is Meryl Streep in her own head. It's all about Lizzie. »

Californication Season 5 Episode 10: A Different Kind of Hank Spiral

4 March 2012 11:39 PM, PST | BuzzFocus.com | See recent BuzzFocus.com news »

In “At The Movies”, filming began on Hank Moody (David Duchocvny) penned, Beverly Hills Cop knockoff script “Santa Monica Cop.”

It was your typical Californication episode, filled with blow jobs, , fanciful situations, Hank mishaps and Charlie Runkle (Evan Handler) buffoonery. For most of the season, we’ve seen a new kind of relationship develop between Hank and Charlie. The two moved in together and have been pushing the boundaries of their bromance with mock-sexual advances towards each other.

It all came to a “head” in “At the Movies. After Eddie Nero (Rob Lowe) got a hold of Tyler’s (Scott Michael Foster) script, Tyler became the hottest up and coming writer in Hollywood. Charlie, trying to rebuild his roster of talent and his good name, wanted to pick up Tyler on his talent roster. Unfortunately, best-bud Hank was against it. Charlie decided not to take a meeting with Tyler in »

TV Review: Californication: Season 5, Episode 7: Here I Go Again

21 February 2012 9:07 AM, PST | Film-Book | See recent Film-Book news »

Californication Season 5 Episode 7 Here I Go Again Review. Californication: Season 5, Episode 7: Here I Go Again saw Charlie Runkle (Evan Handler) get what he had been scheming and angling for since almost the beginning of this season.

The viewer knew something was going to happen the moment Lizzie (Camilla Luddington) asked if she could take a shower in Runkle’s place. It was the laugh outloud moment of the episode with Charlie Runkle returned home after at least an hour, walks into his bathroom and there is Lizzie, exclaiming when seeing her naked: “That was one long f*cking shower”.

Hank continues to show why people love to hate him: his good heart cloaked behind bad actions, schemes, and shenanigans that fail. Most culminate in people thinking both more and less of him. The latest in this episode was Hank’s noble attempts to hide Richard Bates (Jason Beghe »

Nicol Williamson Dies: Stage Hamlet; Screen Merlin, Sherlock Holmes

26 January 2012 2:22 PM, PST | Alt Film Guide | See recent Alt Film Guide news »

Stage and screen actor Nicol Williamson, who played Hamlet onstage and Merlin on screen, died of esophageal cancer on December 16 in Amsterdam, where he had been living since 1970. His son announced the death yesterday, January 25. Reports vary on Williamson's age; he was either 73 or 75. For those familiar only with Williamson's movie work, he was best remembered for his cocaine-addicted Sherlock Holmes in Herbert Ross' The Seven-Per-Cent Solution (1976) and for his campy Merlin in John Boorman's Excalibur (1981, photo). Based on Nicholas Meyer's novel, in The Seven-Per-Cent Solution Dr. Watson (Robert Duvall) entices Holmes to seek psychiatric help with none other than a pre-Viggo Mortensen Sigmund Freud: Alan Arkin. (Here's wondering if Shakespeare's shrink, as found in John Madden's Shakespeare in Love, was inspired by the Holmes-Freud relationship in Ross' movie.) Though made for a modest $4 million (about $16 million today), The Seven-Per-Cent Solution turned out to be »

Californication Season 5 Episode 3 Rundown: Get Ready for Another Hank Downfall & Charlie’s New Super Nanny

22 January 2012 9:04 PM, PST | BuzzFocus.com | See recent BuzzFocus.com news »

Tom Kapinos got back to basics in Californication Episode 5.3, “Boys & Girls.”

If I could sum up all of Hank Moody’s (David Duchovny) flaws in one all-encompassing statement, it would read: Hank Moody has a knack for screwing up good things.

In “Boys 7 Girls”, Hank finished up Samurai’s (RZA) “Santa Monica Cop” script in what can only be called record time. He was hoping to drop off the script with Sam and hop on a flight back to New York City. However, Sam wanted to read the script before he left and Kali (Meagan Good) needed someone to take her dancing. It was an all too obvious setup, when Sam inevitably asked – or rather ordered – Hank to take Kali out for the night. Sam even gave Hank his car. Really? He told someone who is relatively a stranger to take out his drop-dead-gorgeous girlfriend. Plus, Sam has read Hank »
