- SpouseAddalyn Pollitt(1934 - April 28, 1978) (his death, 1 child)
- Father of Arch Hall Jr..
- Arch Hall Jr. discusses him at length in Tom Weaver's interview book "Earth vs. the Sci-Fi Filmmakers" (McFarland & Co., 2005).
- Usually credited with discovering Richard Kiel, whom he met when Kiel was a nightclub bouncer.
- His character in Eegah (1962) says the line "Watch out for snakes!" The phrase was obviously dubbed in post production as his lips aren't moving on screen. The goof was lampooned so hilariously on Eegah's Mystery Science Theater 3000 (1988) appearance that the line became a meme and catchphrase on the show, appearing periodically as a joke throughout its subsequent seasons. "Watch out for snakes!" even became a minor pop culture meme, making appearances on The Office (2005) and other shows.
- [on the surprising success of the ultra-low-budget Eegah (1962)) It was always sort of a subject of laughter that the darned thing did so well.
