He wrote several operettas in Europe and the USA, including "The Black Pierrot", "The Red Cat", "Natja", "White Lilacs", and "America Sings". Joining ASCAP in 1929, his popular-song compositions include "Falling Leaves", "Beautiful Dawn", and "Melodies Within My Heart".
