Mark Burnett and YouToo.com Create First Social TV Network. Producer Mark Burnett and Youtoo.com will allow viewers to create 15-second videos that are filtered and then broadcast on TV—thereby creating the first social TV Network. This venture joins the Burnett company Video In My Back Yard and CEO of Youtoo.com Chris Wyatt. This will create a web series, essentially, interactive content in which the creator of the series, invites viewers to be on television. Burnett will also produce 250 short programs that will introduce and establish identity to the network. Mark Burnett states:

“As a TV producer, I love nothing more than finding the next big thing. When I put Survivor on television, no one, including me, knew how popular reality television would become,” said Burnett, who also produced The Apprentice and The Voice. “Now, Youtoo is paving the way for social TV, which is the next generation of television. »

'Atlantis Down' special event screening, Sept. 15 Italian Culture Institute Los Angeles

"Atlantis Down", a new independent film written, directed and produced by Max Bartoli and starring Michael Rooker and Dean Haglund, premiered at the Mann Chinese Theater in Hollywood on February 20th, 2011 as part of the Los Angeles Italia Film Festival, then again on April 29 at the prestigious Apollo Theatre in London (UK) during the 2011 Sci-Fi London Film Festival. The film also screened in Portsmouth, Virginia (where it also had a limited 1-week theatrical engagement), selling out in just 2 weeks and at the Italian Embassy in Washington, DC. On Thursday, September 15, The Italian Culture Institute of Los Angeles will host a screening of Atlantis Down at their Westwood, CA location. Admission is free »

Femme Fatales is Showing it All with 'Girls Gone Dead'

If you haven't been watching Cinemax' sexy new noire thriller series Femme Fatales, you really don't know what you're missing. Shouldn't one look at Tanit Phoenix, be enough?

This Friday sees the sixth episode of Cinemax' new sexy series Femme Fatales, a pulpy, episodic anthology of tales where powerful and dangerous women use their survival instincts to escape perilous situations and exude their inner guile. 

The series, borne out of the creators of Femme Fatales Magazine draws its inspiration from film noir and graphic novels, placing the stories in contemporary setting.  Tanit Phoenix (Death Race 2)'s "Lilith" introduces each episode, which feature different casts and storylines, some of which are intertwined.
