Dan Haggerty was born on November 19, 1941 in Pound, Wisconsin, USA as Gene Jajonski. He is an actor and producer, known for The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams (1977), Big Stan (2007) and Grizzly Mountain (1997). He was previously married to Samantha Hilton and Diane Rooker.

Opened "Haggerty's Bistro" in Studio City, Ca. in 1991.
Sentenced to 90 days in County Jail and three years' probation for furnishing cocaine to two undercover police officers.
The The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams (1977) star is the only person to have his star REMOVED from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was actually meant to honor another actor, the late Don Haggerty, and the committee made an error in spelling. Eventually Dan received a legitimate star, now located in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
Was a Muscle Beach bodybuilder in the early sixties.
Worked as an animal trainer and stuntman.
Marketed and sold a brand of barbeque sauce from his own recipe.
The reason for the confusion on the Walk of Fame stars was not simply the similar names but that Dan's Dad is Don Haggerty.
