Prolific American Playwright and Theater Manager.
Spent much of his career in London, England.
Remembered for "White Sister" written with Francis Marion Crawford, "It Pays to Advertise" written with Roi Cooper Megrue and "Captain Applejack".
Usually produced and directed his own plays and cast his wife in a starring role.
Managed the Duke of York , Whitehall, Vaudeville and Apollo Theatres in London.
Came to London on his honeymoon in 1914 and settled there.
His wife, the actress Marion Lorne, appeared in many of his plays.
