Actress Shruti Haasan is busy promoting her Hindi film, Behen Hogi Teri which released last Friday. As reported by us, she had a special screening of the film in Chennai for her father Kamal Haasan and some of her friends a couple of days ago.

We had reported earlier that, the Tamil film industry was imposed with a Goods and Services Tax (Gst) of 28 percent. This was quoted to be very high by numerous film personalities and producers who requested a reduction of the same.
There was a lot of pressure from the industry’s side to bring this down and even veterans like Kamal Haasan had said that he would have to quit cinema if there was no amendment by the government. Earlier in the day, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had asked celebrities not to use media to pressurize the government to lower film industry’s 28% tax slab under Gst. Arun Jaitley said, “Using the media as propaganda to pressurize the government is not going to work.”
